My specs.

XFX nForce 680i LT SLI Socket 775 Motherboard
Intel Quad Core Kentsfield 2.4Ghz Q6600 CPU
Corsair TWINX 2048MB PC6400 DDR2 800MHz E.P.P.
XFX GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB PCIe w/Dual DVI/HDTV
Aspire 680W Beast Alum Black PSU - Black Sleeves
1 Western Digital 74GB Raptor

Latest Nvidia 163.71 drivers installeld. I may grab the beta drivers.

Well I set the game for optimal specs. It turned all my settings to high with 16xQ Antialias in my native resolution of 1680x1050. FPS= 8.67 LOL

Now I set my Resolution to 1024x768 turned the Antialias to 4x FPS= 44.32 eh, not bad but not great.

Hopefully the Full game will be better but my money is going to COD4.;)

So no I won't be buying CRYSIS anytime soon I don't think.

not enough cpu or gfx card.
Quad core 2.4 and a 640mb 8800GTS? LOL Should not need more than that. :D

That's why I posted my specs above to show I have the juice to run the game.

EDIT..

After playing it for a bit and running through most of the SP I will say the game runs smooth and the features are pretty cool. Blowing up some of those shacks and having the metal sheets fly apart plus the nade I threw causing a tree to fall on a guy and kill him.;) Vehicles are nice as well, ironsight on the 50.Cal and the boats are fast and manageble. My money is still on COD4 but maybe the full game will have some improvements. I am only on XP Pro with dx9.c

SS attached>> Anyone for Bluecrab CRYSIS Style? LOL

OK this is going to be a very long post, but here are some figures from my benchmark tests using the ingame benchmark utility.

Forget it, I will simply attach it here:

Note that while I can play in game without any problem using 1920x1200 all settings high, I've now switched back to 1680x1050 all settings very high in DX9 via ini tweaks.

System specs for now :hand:, pickup up a quad core soon!

Here is a shot using the customized ini file, which gives you about 99.9% of the DX10 visuals in DX9

I Posted I use XP. I did run some tweaks on the card since this rig is only 2 weeks old. Got steady FPS up to 46 in 1680x1050 but I still think the performance is lacking for the widescreen. I will do some more testing and tweaking on the settings here since as I stated I just built it and have not spent much time setting it all up. Hopefully I can get some improvement out of it. Funny when I ran 3Dmark on it it scored very high, in the 9700's.
