For those who are not aware Punk Buster Servers were hacked and players banned for cheating when in fact they were not.

This sucks big!
This could essentially mean the end for PB streaming sites. EB is well aware of this and according to RodeoBob (PBB co founder) they intend to do nothing about it.
PB may continue to function but streaming sites are what helps PB work so much better. Without them PB looses a lot of its punch.

tbh PB would do something about it if there was more competion against them but publishers arent that fussed if you cheat or not so they just go with who they always use and nine times out of ten its PB.
Punkbuster was NOT hacked. Someone that has a game server streaming to PBBans.com altered their game server so it would submit false data.
Right. They did not hack into punk busters servers or anything but they did hack (or more precisely "hooked") into the punkbuster datastream. So while perhaps needing further clarification the initial statement is still true.

We've done two pod casts these past two nights covering this news (BASHandSLASH with Joker, Diva, GarretJax, Matt Pruitt and Jockitch)
if PB does not fix this ASAP, we need to start calling the publishers of games that use PB and complain. This is going to get very ugly if not fixed and fixed ASAP.
