Official 1943 Release Date For PC

Any word on an offficial release for the PC yet? I don't know how much longer I can wait lol.

As far as i know their is still no official release date, but on the pre-order page the games status has been updated to pre-release.
What exactly this means is anybody's guess, but some sites are promoting June as a release date.

Let's hope the wait is worth it and they are not releasing a bug fest like bfbc2. The release date has been kicked back so many times it's unreal. Alot of the WW2 buffs were really looking forward to this one and feel that Dice really screwed the pooch . I think they will be surprised of how many people will order this game because of the WW2 era.

Given that the game is a minor release with only a handful of maps I could be rolled in to BC2.

I'm sure my clan m8's would love to play it but I'm not sure we would want to split our attentions between BF43 and BC2. Two servers, some people wanting to play one and not the other... you get the idea. well wouldn't it be great is this was added to BC2. Some maps you play as a modern soldier some you play as a WWII one. Mix and match... Well it's an idea.

I really don't believe that June release date at all. I hope it's true but It's not likely. They probably won't release it until the hype cools down about bbc2 and that could be awhile. They got a game that they don't know what to do with, release now and it will hurt bc2 and release around cod7 and no one will care.

I decided to cancel my pre-order for this game, here is the reply i got from EA Customer services:

It sort of make sence for timing. If it's your intention to keep the hype up and take attention away from your competitors (MW2)

I was a little surprised that the Beta for MoH has come out so far ahead of the release in October. The hype machine needs something new to chomp on. BF1943 would be a nice sized project. So between now and the release of MoH EA will push out another one from their current fav dev squad DICE. Yet another Frostbyte fps! don't forget BC2 Vietnam for Christmas! Call it a mod or a reskin, call it what you like. As far as EA is concerned if they can push something new out of the door every three months they will be happy. Demo, Beta, mini game or full they don't care just so long as it keeps CoD and Activision out of the news.

Their has been no hype at all, which is unlike EA.
