Call of Duty World at War 1.4 patch info

Via JD_2020's twitter account which pointed towards the official site:
Hi all,

Just a quick update to the PC Patch 1.4 status. This is the patch which will include the DLC Map Pack 1 content, as well as address a few issues with the game.
  • Items Addressed:
  • IWD / dedicated server anomalies (the people this effects will know what I mean by this)
  • “Tank Lag” with logfile enabled
  • Improvements to the MP spawn logic
  • Autobalance functionality in various game modes
A complete list of change will be posted when the patch releases. We are working as quickly as possible to get this patch and DLC out as soon as possible.

Regards,
-JD

because of the lack in communications we have stooped to speculation.

There still has not been any official word from Josh the community manager for Treyarch in regards to clearly stating what is going on with DLC.

We're damned if we assume, we damned if we question him......

While my bet is yes it will be free, I can not think of any reason why he simply can not say one way or the other. Kind of makes him look a little foolish.

Probably affraid of the backlash he might get from the eggsbox community by publically stating the pc user get DLC for free.

Misnomer is an unknown quantity at this point
Plus, when they make the announcement about the sponsor it is a glorious marketing moment. We can expect a:

"Great News! Larry's GAS n' GO has stepped up to help make COD:W@W DLC available for free to our PC members. Larry's will provide the DLC early to its GAS n' GOer Card holders 24 hours early at a special mirror provided by Fileplanet! The rest of you can check out Larry's new line of slurpies at your local store. Thank you Larry's!"

Developing games is hard guys. Fixing broken stuff is hard, making maps is hard. I mean the PC guys got the mod tools, and can already run custom maps.

You guys should cut them some slack, its not like any other developer with less resources has put out 4 or 5 times the amount of patches or DLC. Oh wait yea Valve does.

I am waiting for the announcement from Activision that turtle rock studios is making COD6, other developers in the series are loosing sleep.

Who would pay for it? The community has already provided more than they ever will...

It was but it turns out their fix only worked for twar gametype. So now they're going to fix the other gametypes.

What are they referring to by "tank lag"? Has anyone experienced this? I haven't seen it.

They may have their lists mixed up , didnt they remove tanks from some console MP maps because of tank lag?

The tank lag was horrible and only became a problem after their logfile fixes in the last patch.

I believe that the game would log every single hit from every weapon when they were fired at a tank.

So the noob with the smg hammering away at a tank would virtually freeze the server solid.

You could either remove the tank or disable the log file to fix the issue.

IWD / dedicated server anomalies

I dont think I would call the IWD problem an anomaly, and if that is what they consider it I think the solution isnt going to make a lot of people happy

Hi,

Whats with the edit on JD2020's post recently?

"Hi all,

Yesterday he stated "This is the patch which will include the DLC Map Pack 1 content" and now "as quickly as possible to get this patch and DLC out as soon as possible"

So before, together and now seperate? Food for thought.
