AWP BC2 Admin v1.2

My name is Al Capwn, leader of AwpaholicA.com and creator of an admin script for BC2.

Description:
It is a command-line script meant to run in the background and manage your in-game admin, as opposed to the GUI rcon tools that have been released. It is best used with a service manager like FireDaemon or GuardianGnome that will restart the script if it disconnects from the server (bc2 server or script crashing).

Download:
http://www.moddb.com/members/awpalca.../awp-bc2-admin
http://www.awpaholica.com/index.php?...pmod;dl=item40

Commands:
Yell: Prints a message in the center of the screen for 10 seconds.
Format: @yell [<player>|<team>] <message>

Kick: Disconnects a player from the server.
Format: @kick <player>

Ban: Bans a player from the server.
Format: @ban <player> [<seconds>|round] <reason>

Unban: Unbans a player from the server.
Format: @unban <player>

Kickrandom: Kicks random player if server is full, ignoring admins.
Format: @kickrandom

Restart: Restarts the current level.
Format: @restart

NextLevel: Changes to the next level, or specified level.
Format: @nextlevel

Mode: Changes the game-mode that the server is running on.
Format: @mode [conquest|rush|sqdm|sqrush]

Thank you to who ever stickied this, I appreciate it.

As soon as the PHP interface is built, we will be going through a beta hosting period where we will host your BC2 admin system for you, eliminating your need for a dedicated server or leaving your home PC running 24/7. This will also mean that you don't need to worry about any of the requirements or installation or upgrades, it will all be managed by us.

As soon as it is available, we will put up a sign up page at www.awpaholica.com where you can apply to be a part of the program.

Will you be releasing the php code so others can run it on their server?

How does the program know who is an admin?

Either through a mysql database or text files (text files are recommended because thus far there is no php interface).

I was trying this out. I entered the server IP, port and rcon PW and then the window simply closes.

I edit the example config and renamed it to settings.cfg in the folder where the admin.py resides. When I try running admin.py, an error log is created that says:

Quote:
------------------------2010-04-15 05:47:59------------------------
Type: Exception
Description: Could not find settings.cfg file
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "C:\Users\Support\Desktop\awp admin\admin.py", line 387, in <module>
raise Exception("Could not find settings.cfg file")
Exception: Could not find settings.cfg file
What am I doing wrong?

You need to run the install.py file initially, it will create the settings.cfg file for you in a folder called config. If you wish to manually edit the example settings file, you need to place it a folder called config (which would've been created by the install.py).

I can't get this to work...

EDIT:
Code:
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "install.py", line 70, in <module>
    tmpList = bc2Conn.DecodePacket(serverSocket.recv(4096))[3][1]
IndexError: list index out of range

I ran the installer and it didn't create the config folder. I put the settings.cfg file into a folder called config and it still doesn't work.
