Battlefield: Battlelog: Live Scoreboard
Today, Dice announced a new Battlelog feature for Battlefield 3. They are calling it Live Scoreboard and via the Battlelog you will be able to watch a servers score board live, as in real time with real updates as they happen.


The live scoreboard shows you what is happening on a PC server and is useful in many ways. When you view a server's details, it shows the progression of the current game and real-time updates on each player's performance.

I was thinking the same thing, for all platforms it would be nice to embed your server info on your respected sites.

Take it a step further, would be nice if they released an API in regards to these stats, then you could do so much more with the info.

However I also understand, the whole concept behind this and to keep it a closed platform, so to speak.

RCON queries can do a lot of it

^^This, You'll find people embed a sort of live leaderboard for their servers for on different clans web pages around the web. Some looking better than others.

But I would suggest polling a Procon Layer server and not the BF3 server itself.

I hadn't thought about polling the procon layer and was worried about doing so at the rcon layer from a concern about introducing lag and ensuring security of the connection.

I will look to see if there is a plugin for this.

The one I made caches the results and only queries the server if the cache is expired which I set for 30 seconds.
