The controversy just got escalated another notch, reports IndustryGamers, as the world's biggest games retailer GameStop has decided it <a href="http://www.industrygamers.com/news/gamestop-pulls-medal-of-honor-from-stores-on-military-bases/" target="_blank">won't sell the title at its stores located on US military bases</a>. The new Medal of Honor won't be advertised at these stores either. GameStop noted that they came to this decision &quot;out of respect for our past and present men and women in uniform.&quot;</div>

I need your help in collecting a list of Call of Duty (any version), total conversions and mods that would replace the need to purchase any new Call of Duty game.  While we're at it, might as well add Battlefield and Medal of Honor to the list.  <br />
<br />
I will then replace the server guide for developers at the top of the front page with a more useful link to all the free total conversions and mods for current games we already own. <br />
<br />
Please use the following format:<blockquote>Mod Name:<br />
Game supported (CoD:UO, CoD2...)<br />
Mod's direct link to their home page. <br />
short overview of said mod/Total conversion<br />
</blockquote>I would rather support the community only then try and help developers understand what we want.  So from now on, instead of pointing developers to our list we can simply cut out the middleman and point the community to the mods and total conversions that benefit us the paying customers. <br />

VG247 has talked with  of Microsoft's Game Studios GM Dave Luehmann in regards to supporting the PC gaming platform.<blockquote>Asked if Microsoft still planned to cater for those that spend large  sums of money to upgrade PC rigs for games, Luehmann confirmed the  company is staying with the core.<br />

“There are other products, and I can think of one in particular, that  will really encourage that type of behavior,” he said, speaking in  Germany earlier this month.<br />

The exec said that Microsoft’s future PC core offering will be part  of a whole range of games designed to ensure the entire spectrum of PC  gamers is catered for.<br />

 There's no question that Xbox Live is the most uniform, streamlined online service for current generation game consoles when it comes to online multiplayer gaming, media streaming, and social interactivity. And for those that want to enjoy all of the fruits that come with such a service, gamers have been willing to work over $50 per year for an Xbox Live Gold membership.<br />
<br />
 Now, however, Microsoft is moving to the &quot;Dark Side&quot; by raising prices across the board for Xbox Live Gold memberships. According to Microsoft's Major Nelson, <a href="http://majornelson.com/archive/2010/08/30/price-change-for-xbox-live-gold-subscription.aspx" target="_blank">who broke the news earlier today</a>, a one-year Xbox Live Gold membership will now cost $59.99 per year. For those that don't wish to commit to a full year of online gaming goodness, three-month membership now cost $24.99 and a one-month membership will set you back $9.99.<br />

 For reference, the previous pricing structure was $49.99, $19.99, and $7.99 respectively.<br />
<br />
 &quot;Since launching Xbox LIVE in 2002 we have continually added more content and entertainment experiences for our members, while keeping the price the same,&quot; said Major Nelson. &quot;We’re confident that when the new pricing takes effect, an Xbox LIVE Gold membership will continue to offer the best value in the industry.&quot;<br />

 In an effort to soften the blow for existing Xbox Live Gold members, Microsoft will offer subscribers an option to <a href="http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/pricelock/default.htm" target="_blank">lock in for a one-year membership at a price of $39.99</a>. This offer will begin on November 1, but Microsoft doesn't say how long the promotion will last.<br />

 Not surprisingly, negative reaction from Xbox 360 gamers poured in quickly. &quot;wtf!  You don't even give us enough content to justify $50 let alone $60..  glad I'm paid up for the next year and a half,&quot; noted <i>rogue</i> on Major Nelson's blog. Another gamer, <i>Hardtrget</i>, added &quot;Wow that is ridiculous. In part one of EA's Medal of Honor experience video series, titled  Fallen Angel, there's a great deal of running, shooting, exploding, and  colorful language. Now EA lets us explore the more down-to-earth aspects of the title's gameplay, running and shooting.<br />

 I've done so much running and shooting in my lifetime that it's hard  to distinguish one from the other. It would be an interesting experiment  to strip the UI elements from the latest five or six modern-day  military shooters and see if the uninitiated could tell the difference.  The be completely honest, I might be hard-pressed.<br />
<br />
 Now show me what happens when a player dies in each game, and I  become Mr. Wizard. I am a connoisseur of first-person shooter death. My  mother always told me to find something I am good at and stick with it.<br />

<li>Fixed a problem that could cause the crosshair to expand briefly after the trigger is released</li>
<li>Made  crosshair scale independently of framerate, matching the old behavior  at 100 fps.  This does not affect actual recoil, fire rate, or spread &#150;  only the expansion of the crosshair.  Added cl_legacy_crosshair, which  defaults to the new behavior</li>
<li>Made the crosshair for the Glock and Famas scale correctly upon firing in burst mode</li>
<li>Removed  ability to jump to inaccessible locations using grenades  (flashboosting).  Added sv_enableboost (defaulted to 0) for those who  prefer to allow this behavior</li>
<li>Fixed an issue with involving  incorrect armor protection vs. grenade damage.  Added  sv_legacy_grenade_damage (defaulted to 0) to allow servers to revert to  the original behavior</li>
<li>Fixed an issue that sometimes caused the freezecam sound to be heard when spectating a player who dies</li>
<li>Fixed an issue that could cause KeyHintText to generate junk characters</li>
<li>Prevented ragdoll spasm that could occur when using the jointeam command</li>
<li>Addressed a problem with the sniper rifles that prevented unzooming during auto-reload after shooting all the bullets in a clip</li>
<li>Fixed an issue with the AWP and Scout that could cause their zooms to vibrate briefly after a reload</li>
<li>Fixed map cycling so that the cycle now starts from the map selected by the user instead of going back to the first map</li>
<li>Fixed mp_restartgame so that it resets MVPs as well as score and deaths</li>
<li>Removed fun fact from achievements summary screen and associated playerblotter functionality</li>
<li>Throttled warning messages for disabled achievements to no more than once every 60 seconds</li>
