Rotating messages on screen

Hi. I was wondering how to write text on the screen. Not in the white or yellow part but at the bottom and centered. I have seen it on servers before. The text was in green and ever so ofter it would change to different messages. I searched mod theater and here but couldn't find out how. Does anyone know how to do this? :confused:

Slider_V from Foresight Anti Cheat has a nice message mod available in the FPS downloads for MOHAA - might be just what your looking for.

Here is a ticker script for messages.
It is the ticker-scripting by itself not including the Foresight stuff.

Includes:
- Interval between Messages
- Configurable Color
- Three styles of messages
(Under Compass, TeleType-Style and Scrolling-In Style)
- Moved the Position to just above the Health-Bar

I tried it but when ever i tried to switch weapons the server would crash. :(

Does anyone know another way to do it?

We have in our Downloads just the messaging component from Foresight, Slider calls it the Ticker:

Ty I downloaded it and it worked ok but for some reason when ever I would try to scroll to a new weapon with that on it would crash the server. Does anyone have the code to write text on the screen.

Your crashing is caused my another mod... probably using the miketorso.st file.
The Ticker mod does not use that file, hense it is not the cause of the weapon-change crashes.

When I add your mod the server stops working right.
But as soon as I remove your ticker mod the server works again.
SO it has to be something wrong with ticker mod.

While I was trying to get your ticker to work I found huddraw. Can anyone tell me more about this command because then I might be able make my own message maker.

When I look back at this thread and read your posts it seems that EVERYTHING we suggest you say "Oh yea THATS what I downloaded".
So what DID you actually download??????
Other mods you have may conflict with FORESIGHT, but the Ticker is a completely DIFFERENT program and should not conflict as you say.
If ALL you want is messages then remove Foresight, install the Ticker and you should be fine. If you want a good admin tool with messages then install Foresight and remove the mods that are creating the conflict.:rolleyes:

I don't have forsight installed. I never had it. I am not looking for an admin tool. I only downloaded ticker and when i tried it crashed the server when i tried to scroll through weapons. I don't know why it did that so i decided to look at how it ticker works and I found the huddraw command. All i want to know is how to use huddraw correctly because I most likely will be able to create my own mod.

So how do u use huddraw command correctly?
