Is there a log we can enable to record the GAME (not PB) GUIDs? Basically I want to log server joins with playername/time/BF2 GUID at a minimum. The only logging I found so far was more gameplay logging (kills, etc) and that doesn't include GUIDs. Basically I want to be able to retroactively get BF2 GUIDs after the fact so they can be banned later. I'm using PB for this now in the absence of such a log, but I prefer to keep my server bans using game GUIDs and keep the cheaters in the PB bans.

Secondly, when banlist.txt is updated (in my case copied over from another server), do we know when that is re-read, or how to force a re-read without restarting the server? COD would do this automatically when the next map loaded. Maybe BF2 is the same but I haven't tested it.

I have a partial answer to my Q above:

The banlist is loaded on every map. Once a person is banned, the server sets a temp ban for that unique individual. Then the server flushes it out of memory and reads the banlist.
