Sorry if this is way late on the time scale. My clan is wanting to set up a BF2 server now though...

I have looked through the forums here and through the documentation in the readme that came with BF2 and have found no clue as to what is actually REQUIRED to have on the server to run a dedicated server.

Comeing from all Q3 engine games, I am used to having to upload ALL the files from the client to the server... Is that the case with BF2? Or is there a much smaller dedicated server program that I am supposed to install?

I see the downloads section at:
http://www.eagames.com/official/battlefield/battlefield2/us/downloads.jsp
and it has "Unranked Server Files for Win32 v1.02". Is that all I need to setup a dedicated server on my Windows server? Or is there more.... just looks too easy when coming from Q3...

That's enough m8. The file is about 130 MB in size. You can run a server from any windows machine with that. There is a server launcher incorporated in the file which allows you to do the basic stuff.

When you get more advanced you might want to edit serversettings.con and python files yourself. :salute:
