When I try running the patch on a dedicated server, it can not find the game install it tells me. The dedicated server version was installed in the default location, but the updater will not see it.
Is there a dedicated server patch I missed somewhere, or is ther another way to do this?

Here are the links to the ded. server
BF2 1.01 Patch is out.
Link:
ftp://largedownloads.ea.com/pub/pat...patch_v_101.exe Props to "chucknet" for posting the "official" EA link first. I'm sure the FTP is running around .04kbps right now.
FileFront:
http://files.filefront.com/bf2patch...;/fileinfo.html (http://files.filefront.com/bf2patch_v_101/;3928948;;/fileinfo.html)
Check your favorite game file mirrors, i'm sure they all have it.

I assume this problem has to do with the patch being CLIENT side only. I tried installing for the hell of it and ran into the same problem.

The patch is client side only. The server runs a totally different application that Rude posted above.
I wish other developers would learn from Dice and issue dedicated server apps with their games as well.

Thanks for the information, after downloading the new dedicated server files, everything is fine in the world once again!

Very good point, Brian. I think, too, that Dice did the right thing with this game. Problem is, every server admin is used to patching the "client" (server)...:p
