Hi there, one thing our team have noticed with BF2 is lag and CPU useage spikes when players are in the server with very high pings.
One thing that we could do on bf1942 (via remote manager) was warn and kick players that had a ping higher than a variable set by the manager.
Does anyone know of a sv. command that we can set so as to achieve this?

Same problem here. For the moment our clan members kick them manually, but as you can imagine it's not something you want to be doing while flying a F-35 Jet. :p
I have spent a lot of time on this, but it seems this is something that EA brains simply forgot or ignored. To be honest this really sucks because who would like to have 3-400 ms players when the server is more or less filled all the time (we have 30 -50 players almost all of the time).
I spent two days trying to figure out how to fix this, the only thing i can come up with is a script to check and kick "if ping >=your treshold in ms" and to make it better it shouldcheck all and write to file and if the average ping is higher then your limit for more then 30 sec then the user will get a kick (preferably with a message giving reason "your 30 sec ping averages above %pinglimit%")
I'll do some work on this and see if i can caome up with a way for a script like this to run in loop and check every 10 sec or so.
Just got info that this will be added in a new serverversion that will be out shortly.

I always have doubts with EA when they say shortly. :p
But we'll see, would be nice if they include the high ping, and private slots. And did a real fix on the linux binaries. Hmmm, only 3 major things missed, that ain't too bad (note: sarcasm).
