Windows ServerLauncher method:
In server Launcher make sure you have "VoipEnabled" ticked off. Then enter the IP of the VoiP server, which can be the same IP as your game server. If you're only running a single server, leave all the ports at their defaults. Then enter a password for "VoipSharedPassword".
Next, locate "voip.con" in your BF2 folder. Open it with notepad, there's only one line. The port and the password are here. Change the password from the default to the password you selected in the first step. Save and exit voip.con.
Fire up your BF2 server, and also fire up BF2VoipServer_w32ded.exe. After 30-90 seconds you will see your server connect to the voip server.
Windows ServerSettings.con method:
Modify the following lines in serversettings.con
sv.voipEnabled 1
sv.voipQuality 3
sv.voipServerRemote 1
sv.voipServerRemoteIP 11.22.33.44
sv.voipServerPort 55125
sv.voipBFClientPort 55123
sv.voipBFServerPort 55124
sv.voipSharedPassword your_password
Change 11.22.33.44 to your server's IP, change "your_password" to the password you wish to use.
Good Luck!
:D thanks a lot, m8. very detailed. :salute:
I have several users saying that the voip server is not working, even though I configured it just like the above example. Any tips or tricks ? I can see that after launch the server connects "BF2 server xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:55124 connected". I think this might be the users problem and not the server. Any ideas on how to test this, please let me know (I don't have the game myself). Also if there are any things/settings that the users need, please explain if possible.
PS. there are no firewall issues.
Thanks for your time

If the VoIP server shows the game server connected, you've done all you can. The only way to test is in game.
