In an effort to help increase the ease by which a team can fill its roster, a new feature has been added to FraggedNation.
This feature is "Team invites".
Using this feature, a team captain can do one of 2 things.
1. Invite someone NEW to FraggedNation. This is done by entering their email address. An email is dispatched to the address with a special link allowing the signup to bypass the account verification step. Immediately after signing up and logging in, the new account is prompted to accept/decline the invite.
2. Invite an existing member of FraggedNation to join their team. Team Captains can search the FN account database and select an account to extend an invite. Once selected, an email is dispatched to the account with a link to accept or decline the invite.
Both of these methods creates an invite with a unique 8 digit password that will allow the account (new or existing) to join the team without entering the team join password. It's all done in a single step by accepting the invite.
In order to invite someone to a team you must be a team captain. Click "Manage Teams" from your account menu and then click the new button below the team name to initiate the invitation process.
After an invitation is made, it must be accepted or declined on the next site login. The system will automatically prompt to accept/decline an invite the next time the account is logged in, or the first time a new account with a linked invite logs in.
Hopefully this will help everyone fill up their rosters by making it easier to join your teams!
Please let a global admin know ASAP if you or anyone else is having difficulty with the new system!
