i tried serverwatch but it aint up too par rite now in its current stae { imo}

now as for punbuster they have been here for awhile update the files on as needed --for new cheats all these games use it

now all the plyers that came from these games can say PB does work and works well

it boils down too the fact its time for IW too put there money where there mouth is
they say they are going too support COD so i guess we will see in the next couple of weeks or so

we run two COD servers now and are waiting too see whhat IW is going too do about the cheating????

only a matter of killing the cod game and start the RTCW--ET-- AA games back

least that way you can have a pretty fair game too play

This is getting really old.

They said they would support AC, just not sure what form yet. If it is PB, great if it is something else, great.

Something that I do know, after the patch comes out, people will complain about something new, when AC gets added people will complain still.

Agreed.. no matter what is in the patch it will not stop the complaining, it will just move on to something else or stay right where it is because it wasnt like they wanted it. Just something that you have to put up with it seems.

Kinda like the "linux" version that was promised but delivered over 2 months after initial release. (oh and not to mention well after the promised Thanksgiving release .... sound familiar doesn't it?)

As for the cheating, if your not sick of the cheating and can see that the software vendors do not support the games after they are released then your blind. Rarely, and BF1942 is an exception ONLY cause it still is a selling item, do they offer more support beyond the initial release. Sometimes they give 1 patch but RARELY is it to stop cheating. EA Games is real low in my book cause once they get the sell then they could care less about the support.

If your not complaining about cheating how do you get them to fix them? Just deal with it? Being an administrator of several servers that isn't an option.

If not complain to the point they hear you what do you do? Offer a feasible suggestion and I will be more than happy to oblige !

1. I don't believe they said it would absolutly happen that week. If they did and it didn't there is a good reason, no doubt. What experience do you have in releasing a product of this magnitude? I doubt you know exactly what is part of an undertaking of this magnitude. If you do my apoligies, and maybe you could hive them a few pointers from your myrid of experiences in the field.

2. I don't live in this game, so no I don't notice becasue I am not online in server 24/7. We get no complaints of cheaters from our two servers, so as far as I am concerned it doesn't happen on CoDAdmin's servers, I have 20/20 vision BTW. You must be new to the online gaming world. Quake series, Tribes series just to name a few have supported their products for years afterwards, to include addressing cheating.

3. For some reson everybody thinks that IW doesn't plan on doing anything about cheating. These are the BLIND people, they have said, and it is well known, "They are looking into what form of A/C is best for the game". I imagine they spend many a sleepless nights worrying that a group of online gamers are upset that IW hasn't done exactly what they told them to do.

They will patch the game, they will add A/C, when they find the proper one/way, and like I said when that happens folks (probaly most the same ones as now) will find another thing to complain about.

Hey, it is the holidays & IW is probably dealing with a reduced work force like everyone else. I want the server/client patch as bad as anyone else and I want an AC incorporated into CoD asap. But I am willing to wait a week or two till the holidays are over (not that we have a choice :P )

I played and admined an RVS server to the point of puking courtesy of UBI releasing patches with insufficient testing (imo)... any admins remember the memory leaks??

Hopefully, IW is soooo busy testing their new patch to ensure it runs smooth for the clients that they slid a little on delivery.

Just curious, who promised the release date? IW's dev team or IW's sales & marketing (cust. serv)? That may explain quite a bit by itself.

I check the activision PR ftp site twice a day. If it gets released you will see info here ASAP

I have a feeling it won't be until the Friday after new years (I'll still check twice a day :smile: ). With the holiday and limited working schedule, not much is going to get done this week. sure hope I'm wrong

I just wish IW would jump in and give us a heads up to what the hell is going on. I have a feeling Activision is not letting them say anything.

1. So a deadline was never missed? If so you have/work for one of the best companies around, congrats :smile:

2. Part 1. I will reitterate what I said the first time, maybe the meaning will come through this time. I don't live in this game, so no I don't notice becasue I am not online in server 24/7. Part 2. Many games had support that went on for years, as I said Quake Series and Tribes Series to name a couple.

3. Why do they have to have it done, and have it done yesterday? Game is winning all the awards, still selling on the shelfs. If you do not believe they will deliver then move on. There are many games that you can play.

I am tired of hearing the same crying over the same "Spilt milk" over and over and over and over and over again. The game is great, it has nothing new in the form of Cheats than any game out there. Nothing was ever promised that it would single-handedly solve the cheating problem, especially out of the box. As I said in a PM to the author of the post complain all you want, but don't get all bent out of shape when someone posts their take on your complaints.

Say what you like about IW, in the past 10 years, IW's initial support for the game has been better than any I have seen, in the past 10 years.

CodADMIN.com is a site where ADMIN's come to learn and help one another. Posting a complaint regarding a patch really has no place here. If you feel you must do such things, then by all means please go to another web site. Writting incitefull comments and then not expecting hostile responses is illogical. Actions such as yours distract the group as a whole from our purpouse here. Please remember this the next time you post an opinion...especially when it is in the wrong topic area.

I think 1 other thing needs to be mentioned about this.The game is barely 2 months old and people expect the world already.I admin 3 COD servers and 1 spearhead server.Everyone up to date on the latest form of cheating knows it is going to be a tuff uphill battle to counter act.The fact that IW is taking a little extra time in finding the best possible way to support there product in this way should make you happy not mad and complaining.If IW was to just have a knee jerk reaction to this then you would be complaining about what they released.Give them a chance and atleast a decent amount of time to react to the problem in the way they best feel it should be addressed.There is alot more to the problem then what just meets the eye.So far i am impressed at what it did initialy with the release of the game from stock.Also i can find no were on the internet a quote from IW saying an exact date when they would release the patch.
