Hi,
I have been trying for a couple of weeks now to set up a stats page. Trouble is I cant get my qconsole.log to record any kill data. I have logging enabled in my server.cfg like so:
set developer 2
set logfile 3
set g_logsync 2
set chat 1
set sv_chatter 1
but I am getting the following errors:
^~^~^ Script Error: cannot give health to dead entities
$player[local.sp].health = 100 (global/mam_tacaddon.scr, 77)
$player[local.sp]^
I would be really grateful for some tips on where I am going wrong - just let me know if you need more info, as I might be barking up the wrong tree. :rolleyes:

That error looks like a map script error. Normally it gets surpressed but developer 2 puts that stuff in the logs. I don't think it has anything to do with logging.

Looks like you are running CI with TAC. The line that says:
$player[local.sp].health = 100 (global/mam_tacaddon.scr, 77) is from CI. Try turning TAC off and see if it works.

Thanks, I disabled some stuff todo with CI and managed to get rid of the script error above. The problem is though - I still dont have any kill data in my log file. Here is a sample of log file which should contain kill data:

The section of the log you posted is from a map change/start so there is no kill info there. The whole log is this way???
Try going into the console of the game and type:
developer and press enter. This will tell you if the cvar "developer" is actually set to 2. If it is then you might try setting it to 3 and see what happens.

It came back with:

I changed it to 3 - still no kill data.???

Do you think it could be to do with the way Multiplay set up our server - I e-mailed them and they cant get it to work either?? It seems I am getting a lot of errors (Which I was told is usual) in the log.

Is this a new problem, have the logs ever showed kill messages???? I guess I would try to figure out if it EVER worked, maybe your host needs to reinstall the game.

I have never seen kill data in the logs - I will speak to the host and see what they say about reinstalling it. Their last reply was - they have never been able to get the stats working properly.. so I am not holding out much hope now..

Maybe its time for a new provider!
