View Full Version : GUID 0 on all players on my server?

Hi I'm running a dedicated coduo server with no mods added. I have custommaps and punkbuster is enabled.

This problem has happened a couple of times before, but it has been solved by itself just a couple of minutes after it has occured, but now it has been like this the last 48 hours.

The thing is that all players on my server has guid 0 ?

Does anyone here know of this problem and how to fix it if it's able to be fixed?

Another question is if a player has guid 0 and I ban via guid, will all players on my server be banned as well or does it still work as usual? I'm a bit afraid to try it, dont want to lose players...

We often have have players connecting from elsewhere of our server and they always have a guid number, but not now.

Any help is highly appreciated.

According to punksbusted the COD Auth servers have been down.

Hmmm, not sure that's the cause of his guid 0 problem, though, Rock., although its as good a reason as any, I suppose. I went out and looked at punksbusted myself when I first saw this thread, and couldn't find anything specific.

Is PB installed correctly, latest version, you doing AutoMBL? All that good stuff?

First of all. Now the guids are back, but I'm still curious since this has happened before and i guess it will happen again.

Yes PB is installed correctly, we have the latest version. What is AutoMBL?
The weird thing is that they can still play on our server, no one gets kicked. But still they have guid 0.

We have had the server ever since original CoD was released and this problem has come up only the last couple of months and only a couple of times.
