Ea shoots themselve in the foot. This is from the linux developer mailing list. EA hasn't called me back, so you can tell the Linux server's been a
definite priority for them.

Infinity Ward, on the other hand, has been very eager to get a Linux
server prepared for Call of Duty and contacted me a few weeks ago with an
explicit interest in having the server ready before the game hits
shelves. And it is. We're doing last minute testing now, and it should be
up for download at the same time as (but probably a little earlier than)
the retail client is in stores.

Those that would like to be prepared for this can get on the mailing list:
blank email to cod-subscribe@icculus.org to get on the list.

Otherwise, I'll keep you all posted about MOHAA if something happens...

Now this is what I like to hear from a company, superb dedication IW. My thanks in advance

The letter from Activision to sites which were hosting the beta said a week which was October 30th, I believe. So given that plus the timely support we've been experiencing with CoD thus far, I'd assume the official Linux server will be Novemeber 6th or sooner.
