Rockmonster has made a suggestion that we add Half-Life 2 and/or Doom3 to the forums, and has also kindly volunteered to moderate the potential new forum(s)...HL2, at least.

It should be noted that the original intent of the new site was to combine MOH and CoD, then add BIA when it came out, initially staying with WWI-genre FPS's. That's not to say that others were to be excluded, tho'. There was a lot of feedback about including other game types. BIA, of course, is due out next week, and I think we'll see some servers by the end of next weekend, perhaps sooner.

After e-mailing back and forth with RudeDog today, it was decided to put the idea to the general membership:

Question 1:

Should FPSAdmin expand to include HL2 and/or Doom 3?

Question 2:

If so, both games, or one or the other?

Question 3:

Is there anyone with server admin experience on either game that would be willing to moderate the forum(s)? Moderators are sober, good-looking, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent, of course.

Give us your feedback on these questions. RudeDog and I are both away on business next week, so you have all week to post your answers.

Remember Day of Defeat will be coming to a steam account near you shortly, our HL2 forums would cover this game.

Hey everyone, here was my thought. When I found CODAdmin.com it was like a Godsend. It was the best run and moderated admin forums available. Now with the move to FPSAdmin.com I thought it would be great to help consolidate where admins can come and get help or information on some of the newer games as well. Many admins like myself admin more than one type of game server, so not having as many places to go to look for help would be great.

This site has been extremely helpful to me and I hope that I have been able to contribute a bit as well.

I say yes. CSS and HL2DM are both great games, and DOD:Source will be coming soon. My take is, if it's FPSAdmin, then you should at least try to cover as many FPS's as you can. If you're only going to stay in the WWII genre, then at least cover DODS, which is a Source-engined WWII game. As for moderators, I run a CSS and a HL2DM server as an admin(will have DODS too upon release) and would voluteer to help with moderating.

No. Stick to MOHAA/COD/BIA.

I say support as many games as you all can handle. People love to be able to go to a centralized place for info....and with most games running off the same engine....it's great when you need to find an answer to a question, and find it in another game....this again would make it easier to stay in one place.

I agree a one stop shop for admins.

The more games we have onboard - Admins included - will help us to help out the Gaming community - after all isnt that part of the reason why were here and exist.

I'm sure theres a wealth of knowledge here already and the more the merrier as they say.

Bring it. ;)

If you mean expansion to HL2, that's coming within the next few days. RudeDog actually has a life outside of FPSAdmin...:D
