OK, I've started on my new guide entitled
Rudedog's complete guide to setting up a CoD dedicated server
The title needs some work as well .

I'm about 70% done and would like all you experienced admins as well as the newer admins to give it a once over. I need your feedback and or suggestions. My grammar could also use a little once over.

there could be one, two or many mistakes.

I will be cleaning up and regrouping the cfg once the doc is complete. There is also a download , I will need to change to correspond to the reorganized cfg file.

I will also be going into detail about RCON and all it's commands.

As I make changes, I will post them here for you guys to give more feedback. For now you can not edit the doc yourself. I need to control the content before I release it.

You might need Acrobat V6
View or download here (http://www.codadmin.com/Rudedog_complete_guide_V.02beta.pdf)

To download, right click save as.

Thank guys

Well let's see if I can help at all....

Second paragraph is not needed at all.. it says almost the exact same thing as the first.

"thought" the Graphical User Interface - should be "through" the Graphical User Interface.

Under Requirements - You mention an FTP program is needed, you can also use Windows Explorer.

340K upload speed 6-8 clients - closer to 6 than 8 if you want any type of reliability. just an opinion.

UPLOAD CD FILES: Second sentence does not read well. I think there is a missing word there or something. Also "Remember dont copy these to the root of your C:" should be followed by an example of where to copy them more than likely. I would go through the steps of creating a folde for them and copying whatever files are nessesary into those directories. That way your example picture would look accurate.

The title "Create both a game server and map rotation cfg files". The word "files" is not needed.

Under that title - the words "cfg [config]" should be reversed to "configuration [cfg]" this makes it consistent with the way you did it for the other abbreviations.

Getting tired.. thats a start.. others can pick it up or I will look at it some more later.

Very good momma. Thanks

Will start on the changes after Christmas. Want to get this part tweaked before getting into the rcon stuff.
