stupid user of the year - Gilby4747

OK, here we go,
I've hadn't had one of these in a looooog time.
I banned a user from CoDadmin.com last week, because of his spaming in the forums, as well as receiving a several complaints from users.

Well guess what, I received an email from Gilby today. He wanted me to publicly apologies for banning him, ah I don't think that's going to happen :cool:

I just hope this kid did not use his parents hotmail account.... See this is what happens when parents don't monitor their kids Internet usage. Well I'm off to Westminster UK next week for business and some private activities ;). I'll let you all know how my trip goes.

I like how you get one week before he does anything. I wonder if I google hackers, who I could be calling myself to be a vicious hacker? Poor kid forgets that math would and simple deduction would tell us that he's not old enough to be who he says. At least I got a laugh!

what program did you use to trace that?

Header info is part of all email addresses, you just need to view the header info. Because this was sent via hotmail, it can be a little misleading. I would rather use the IP address captured via our message board. Thus I opened his account one last time to gather more IP address after his letter above.

When anyone posts on these boards or any other forum, your IP is captured. I can tell what address you use to connect to this site.

I simply use the -a switch while pinging his two IP address. The -a switch will resolve IP address to a hostname. I then use tracert to see what the host name of the router before his last connection was. You can gather a lot of info this way.

Also sending an email with your name attached helps :D.

One other thing, a real hacker never tells what he is going to do, he always lets his work show what he can do. Kiddies on the Internet always brag at how good they are at hacking and what they will do to your computer. Real hackers will take care of business then brag to you about what they just did.
