Has your server ever been hacked?

I've recently launched a dedicated web server and I'm concerned that I could get hacked. I'm behind a router but had to open ports to run the game. As we all know, leaving ports open carries an inherent risk.

I'm wondering if anyone has ever been hacked, caught a virus, etc. in their server.

I have router too and left ports open. I run my server now for half a year and never had any hacking probs

My server has been hacked. It started as a command overflow that somehow got past the rcon password. Didn't crash the server, but did alter alot of my cfg settings. All it took was a restart to get it back in shape....but still it was somewhat hacked.
