Until I can work out news icons, I will place the game title before the news posts...
Wok on to the MOH news.
Just received word from EA regarding the MOH:PA patch. Here is a list of things that have been fixed.
- Patch 2 contains all fixes from all previous patches including Patch 1.
- Numerous single player levels have been modified to improve product polish.
- Various crash exploits have been repaired.
- Server passwords now work as intended.
- Players with negative bonus points can now join stat-tracked servers.
- Retaining class when transitioning no longer allows bypassing of class restrictions.
- An Ammo Tech Weapons exploit has been fixed.
- Player can no longer use blocked weapons.
- After voting for map change, map rotations now function correctly.
- Muted Spectators can no longer chat with teammates.
- Player Deaths now clear after transition.
- Team wins no longer carry over after relaunching from shell.
- Bashing is now allowed from all bolt action rifles when re chambering.
- Red exploding barrels now injure players.
- Blur FX no longer remains after dismounting turret.
- Holstering your weapon now makes you run faster ("bind h holster").
- Players no longer respawn looking at the ground.
- There is now a dot at the center of the dynamic crosshair.
- The crosshair now changes contextually based on your target.
- Dead bodies no longer look propped up and not dead.
- The escape key no longer loses functionality in game.
- The Welcome Screen Message of the Day allows multiple items to be displayed now.
- Shooting a dead player no longer raises your accuracy.
- Punkbuster now prints messages to the screen as expected.
No date has been given but they have also asked about any other issues not listed. If you have a bug to report please leave a comment in this thread and I will pass it along to EA ASAP.
Still no ETA on the Linux binaries
More info to follow, as soon as it becomes available.

I seriosly thought it was to be released late this month but if they're still asking for bug reports that I guess that won't happen :(

We (MOHTeam) where asked if we knew of any bugs not on the list. If so to report them ASAP.

CPU usage on map rotation spikes to 100% even when Affinity is set to a single processor on a dual proc system.
And i think they should make the dot in the center of the screen a cvar.

How about the machine gun / sub machine gun sound loop if the player is killed?
How about the rifle shooting sound when you go into 3rd person after dead?
How about the 50 cal blurry bug, where your vision is still blurry after you use the 50 cal until you are shot again?
Just 3 things they didn't mention ->>>>>

Why is'nt the map download redirection bug listed?
Let EA have a look at the download redirection function of CoD:UO and use the same method for PA. I think the download redirect is just as important as the private slots function as custom maps will be the games future (if this patch is'nt coming too late allready).
I must agree it does raise a few questions when EA is still asking for bug reports at this time.

1) Get rid of that stupid main menu screen that takes forever to load. Everytime I leave a game I'm forced to return to it.
2)Fix the clipping issues with the terrain e.g. I'm leaning behind a rock with a clear view of the enemy yet everytime I fire all get is rock.
3) Fix the weapons balancing, a sniper rifle shouldn't take 3 shots for a kill.
4)Where are the Havok physics?
5)Fix the grenades bouncing around like super-balls from a gumball machine.
6)Sort out the horrific net code.
CPU usage on map rotation spikes to 100% even when Affinity is set to a single processor on a dual proc system.
This for me is also one of the BIG things that needs sorting, if not it wont be going back on our server for sure. We run a dual processeor server with processor affinity set, and it takes little notice of this on map change and lags everything else on the server. Also has any work in general be done to try to reduce server processor usage.
Also as others have mentioned the awful netcode needs sorting, what about the aiming system also?

4)Where are the Havok physics?
Havok physics are in MP, they are disabled by default because of CPU requirements. I don't have the cvar handy but if memory servers me correct it was listed in the main read me.

Here are the suggestions I eMailed to EA Technical Support and they claimed they forwarded them to the MOHPA people:
Sorry for the long list but here it is anyway:
1) The Springfield Scoped rifle should use the same sound as the Springfield un-scoped rifle
2) The Springfield un-scoped rifle should use a different sound than the Calvary rifle that the Japanese have
3) After firing the Springfield un-scoped there is a pause in rechambering. This should be eliminated. Only visible in sights view.
4) The Springfield un-scoped rifle should get a bayonet; the Japanese have 2 rifles with bayonets, why not the US?
5) All of the Automatic weapons seem to have an often re-occurring bug where if one is dropped (like a player dies) the sound loops and loops. This is really annoying.
6) The Thompson should be less accurate at both the sighted and un-sighted views.
7) The Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR) should be less heavy.
8) The Japanese MG and the M1 Garand use different sounds for 1st and 3rd person. Make them the same.
9) Why do you always go on servers and your skins are changed? Also, it seems as if the new skins are not allowed on almost all servers.
10) All rifles should have increased power (less bullets to kill) SMG’s and MG's should also be adjusted.
11) When scoping your sniper, the scope moves around really choppily. Make it smoother....plus the scope should still move a little, but right now it doesn't move at all.
12) When rechambering your sniper you should come out of scoped view
13) The players in 3rd person are too close to the screen (like when you are spectating) please fix!
14) The player's bodies move strange. Especially above the waste, they don't seem to move much.
15) Players should always have the butt-stock of their weapons on their soldier. I saw a guy firing a Thompson with the But stock below his under-arm. Do you know what would happen if you fired a Thompson that way?
16) The Thompson's Rate of fire should be increased a little bit.
17) There should be Random Thompson's with either 50 round drums or 30 round clips.
18) When Players die they should be flat on the ground. Sometimes they are propped up with their arm. In real life the arm would go limp and would not support their body at all.
19) The Allied Revolver should have to be emptied completely before reloading. If you reload in the middle of the clip sometimes only 3 bullets are taken out, though all 6 should come out actually.
20) If you reload a weapon mid clip, the weapon should have the clip's ammunition plus 1 in the chamber. Like if you reloaded a M1 Carbine with 10 bullets left, once the new clip was in, you would have 16 bullets because the clip holds 15 + the one in the chamber. This also goes for Pistols.
21) If you reload without an empty clip, you should not have to "cock" the receiver lever.
22) The Browning automatic rifle’s Clip appears a bit too large on screen.
23) The Browning automatic rifle’s picture (you know, the one in the box at the bottom of the screen) is totally wrong.
24) The shotgun should use the same sound for both 1st and 3rd person shooting
25) The shotgun’s sights should be fixed because they don’t align perfectly.
26) All weapons should be much less accurate in the un-sighted view.
27) The different player skins should have different voices
28) When you are near mines while an engineer, the annoying high-pitched noise should be replaced with a voice command that says “Mines spotted” or something.
29) Both the stationary and portable MG’s sights do not align.
30) With the Japanese stationary and portable (the one with the drum) MG’s, you should see your hands when firing.
31) In the single-player version of the game, the stationary Japanese MG should have a slower rate of fire, like the multiplayer version. The portable Japanese MG is fine. (The one with the drum)
32) The ammo tech should only have 1 weapon. I see this player used not to give their second weapon away to someone need, but rather to have a variety of weapons for killing the enemy.
33) All weapons should be lighter. When switching from a rifle to a pistol, you really notice the speed increase. The speed should stay about the same always because you still have the rifle; it’s just strung across your back.
34) When running with a rifle, SMG, or MG, it should be across your chest, not sticking out.
35) The M1 Garand and M1 Carbine should have shoulder straps for added realism.
36) More blood should be added when you hit a player so you can tell you hit them. Same for bayoneting and bashing someone.
37) Once you beat the game, in the “shell”, it shouldn’t always be raining. It should sometimes be sunny, sometimes be raining.
38) In the “shell,” the M1 Carbine the guy is holding (he’s polishing it) you see the rifle glitch.
39) The Japanese weapons should kill easier. Also they need perhaps 1 or 2 more weapons. This should make playing as a Japanese soldier a lot more fun.
40) The Nambu pistol should use the same sound for 3rd person as it uses for 1st person.
41) When you use the 50 cal machine gun, you will always have blurry vision until A) you get shot/injured or B) die.
42) It would be cool to add a multiplayer skin based off of that guy in the White T-Shirt from Single-Player.
43) The semi-automatic Shotgun should have a slightly faster rate of fire. Yes, the recoil is large from the Shotgun, but you should definitely be able to fire it faster than it currently is.

If you haven't already, please fix the bug were all hidden objectives are not accounted for & medals are not shown in basecamp. Also, whenever you complete the game, regardless of difficulty level, results in only the medal for a medium campaign being awarded.
I know I'm not the only one to have this problem - does not seem to be a corrupted install or anything of that sort. See the message boards on the EAGAMES MOHPA site for numerous posts/accounts of this problem.

Also, sometimes the vegetation in SP stops bullets - may be something to look at.

1. difficult to kill enemy with machine gun when the enemy is right up close to you.
2. too easy to kill enemy when they are a great distance away.
3. objects you can see past block your fire.
4. grenades bounce and are not very lethal.
5. sniper rifle takes too many bullets to kill enemy.
6. machine gun looping bug.

I have passed along all bugs/fixes/tweaks to EA. Don't know if it will help but they have been sent.
