I'm having trouble figuring out how to save a serverwatch configuration and then loading it and activating it.

Is it possible to create several different configurations for server watch? I like to test my changes on one server before uploading them to another.

I have tried entering the appropriate information in the various tabs in setup and then "Save Config to One File". I might make several different configurations and save them under different names. However, when I tried to load the config and then activate it, the information does not change.

Is what I'm trying to do possible? If so, what is the correct procedure?

Do I need to create a file for each tab(or screen)?

Thanks,
Floyd

I need to try that out.
Becase i havent tryed the save to one file for over a year,
so i dont know if it works any longer after all changes done to SW.
But must of the configs you have you will find in the folder data.
So if you save them and try to change them and just move the once you want to have in there most of the setup will change.
I wonder if manbe the save to one file only saves the stuff in the serverwatch ini file.
About how to log into the server / ftp / dir fileaccess and stuff like that.
What are you changing in the server ?

It appears that some things change and some don't. I don't know if ServerWatch is not saving all of the proper files, or if it is not loading all of the files from the saved file. The saved file appears to be a binary file, and it is difficult for me to determine what it contains.

I was hoping to create several different configurations and then to upload the appropiate configuration to the appropriate server and then load from one file. That would help to make maintaining several different game servers a lot easier.

For now.....To save all of my changes, should I make the changes within the setup (and advanced setup) and then "save and activate config" to get all of them to update? Should I then upload all of the ini and dat files to the server where ServerWatch is located?

Thanks,
