View Full Version : Cheats?
Is Punk Buster really bullit proof?... We've had some players that were running faster than others with the same gun..I mean really faster...
Our server, like many others, is not that busy..We kept the weapons almost stock but reduced mines, nades, and player class.. It seem to work very well.. pretty even.. but if someone runs like Superman flies.. then ...

Nothing is bulletproof. But to be honest I dont think you will see too many cheats in PA or any players for that matter.

To be honest, that is a VERY interesting cheat... both the weapon runspeed multiplier and the base runspeed are server variables... Maybe they have found a bug in switching between the weapons at such a timing they seem to run as fast as the pistol always? (which would make it EA's fault again :p )
Thanks for the reply. I'll try to get the player name and IP...

I've noticed on our server that Medics with med packs in their hands can run the 100 in like 3.3 secs. Are you sure you're not seeting Medics with med packs? Are these guys carrying guns? Just a thought.

One of my guys mentioned something similar to me. Someone was in our server and was moving very fast with a heavy gun in his hand. I really doubt that there are cheats being used but cant deny the possibilty. I had an unusual experience myself just yesturday.
I was in the 5307th server, they have the run speed set to "molasses", after a few rounds I left and joined our TAW server. For some odd reason i was still moving no faster than if I were in the 5307th server. My teammate told me I appeared to be crouched when I (from my perspective) was not. I tried to reboot the game and eventually my PC trying to remedy the problem. No luck.
So I looked at the obvious, in my control menu the "always run" toggle had been unbound. After re-binding the "always run" key everything was back to normal.
What I saw was the same weapon from one of my teammates and a guest... The teammate also pointed this to me...
