What serverside tool can i use for server messages on a (linux) server? Cant find no stand-alone version.

just run autokick www.autokick.com its client side and works great for broadcasting messages.

Yuppers- Auto-kick is the best and easiest to set up if all you need is to control high-ping players, broadcast messages, and have a way to keep out previously un-wanted players.

Very nice utility.

RSD has server-side banner support as well.

(That's RTCW-Style "Reinforced Search & Destroy").
