OMFG......can't install the patch on my server because it is not "installed".

Ok, found a little "work around"

You need to add a registry entry on your server. Copy the code below into a text file, be sure you edit the path to your MOHPA directory.

Save the text file, and then change the file extention from .txt to .reg

Run the file on your server and then install the patch. Boo on EA for setting up the patch this way :confused:

ok, whew.. i got it working by going into my system and using regedit finding in [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\EA GAMES\Medal of Honor Pacific Assault] exporting the whole ea dir reg information, saving it and uploading to server and it works. I was about to lose it.

Both private slots crashing and 100% CPU ultilization problems were solved.

Also, thanks to those who mentioned the "reg hack", following that path I installed the patch on my server without a problem. :D Uploading 4GB of files again = no PA server for me or my users.

EA is working on a new MP demo, the patch was their first priority


Has anyone made a simple reg file that works for this patch. Would love to add that to the downloads section.

If not I will try and get something up by this weekend.

Can anyone confirm if they fixed the netip in the patch? We want to assign an IP to PA since we have more than one server (we have a SH server we want to keep running and not change the IP on).

The problem we had was that PA would use the IP assigned in the command line but in the browser, if you clicked on server it would not let you connect, you only had the option of connecting by manually putting in IP.

i doen the reg fix on my dedicated server and installed the patch but now it wont start cause it cant find granny2.dll :( wtf

Anybody had this prob and know how to fix it, i tried putting the granny2.dll file back in and it knocks the cpu usage up to 100%
