I am getting frustrated.
I have been trying and trying and trying to upload these 1Gig+ files to my server from my home cable connection. This takes about... oh.... 24 HOURS each on my home connection which averages about 17KBPS.
Of the 5 times I have kicked it off.... something has ALWAYS happened during the 24 hour transfer that kills the transfer. I STILL have THREE 1 Gig + files to upload.... :(
Anyone have a better idea on how to do this, other than fly up to my server with the DVD and go do it myself.... lol...

Bullet,
I used winrar to pack the files up and broke them down to smaller chunks. Took longer to upload, but I got them there

Have not had a chance to test this, but Matt Powers posted this today in the MOHteam forums
On a related note - I have been trying to find out what you can do to reduce your server upload time. You could exclude Pak2 (sound/music) and pak4 (textures). This would shave 1.08 Gb from that 4Gb install. That will help a little bit.
Now I know this would effect, running pure but at least it could get you started early.
if anyone moves those packs out of the main directory and can test this please post your findings here

I have moved them out and the server runs fine with out them. Your message center and HLC rcon are still working fine as well

Great, wont help us but others who have to upload will have 1 gig less.
Thanks for the feedback.
Glad you like my message center and Moses rcon util. I was hoping to work on more features but with work and trying to get my house in order for Thanksgiving, I can't seem to find the time
Oh and half life 2 rocks
agree with the winrar suggestion from Brian, we did this and it compacted everything down to about 2.5 gig to upload, we also had winrar compress them automatically into 600-700 MB chunks, had the whole thing uploaded within a day. May be worth a shot for you.
