I have been hosting Spearhead from a home connection for sometime now and I have been able to resolve many server issues. One problem that is left unresolved is the fact that I am unable to host more than 12 player slots. My server is built with a 2.4 Intel Celron and a full Gig of ram, I have preformed many Broadband test and my internet connection provides me with a consistent 8822 Download and 946 Up. At 12 slots at a Max Rate of 5000 she runs quite smoothly but after 12 pings go through the roof. I believe that I should easily be able to host 16 slots at a Max Rate of 5000 if I did my math correctly. Any ideas on this issue would be greatly appreciated as I am unable to figure this one out on my own. Thanks.

Since this is Spearhead, with your type of connection it is the CPU that is probably killing you. In particular a Celeron is not a good CPU. Open up your performance monitor and scope out CPU utilization while running the game. Chances are it starts to max out after twelve players.
Go ahead and try kicking up max rate a little, but basically your CPU is the most likely bottleneck in your system.

To help calculate max rate, I just uploaded a worksheet I just made.
Click here (http://www.mohadmin.com/maxrate/) and tell me what you guys think?
I don't know if you need exel installed localy to view this web page. Please let me know how it looks and if it works for you.

So the problem maybe due to the size of my CPU. I'll try swapping it out tomorrow from of one of my other PC's and replace it with a P4 2.4 Intel. Hopefully this will solve my bottle neck problem once and for all. I believe though this may lead to other problems such as marital problems as the CPU will be comming out of my wifes machine, lol. Boy is she going to be pissed  Thanks again for your input.
