Hey,
I have two computers set up, one for playing and watching ppl in game, and one that runs an instant messenger and Autokick.
I have been using the Total Control pk3, that lets you unbind keys, drop weapon, suicide players and the like - mam commands. I was wondering though, is there any tool thats not used in-game that can perform mam commands? I tried CI, but that takes like 5 minutes to get up and running, and its big and ugly and yeah I don't like it much. All I want is the ability to call mam commands from outside the game.
Anyone know of a tool or method I could use to do this?
Cheers

There are programs that will give you a console that can be used to enter commands just like the game console. I use Server Watch (http://dfsoftware.com/) from dfsoftware. It allows you to setup multiple game servers to watch and you can also admin and enter commands.

exactly what functions are wanting to use?
there are in game menus out that have a lot of the same functions as CI,but they do not scan for cheats.
If you can give me an idea of what you want i can point you in the right direction.

I want to be able to -
Change player name to a friendly name
Unbind keys
Drop Weapon
Suicide
Force quit
But I want to do these outside of game. I use autokick at the moment because its responsive, it doesn't take ages to start up, and its simple. CI is big and ugly, but very powerful.
BTW Thanks, I'll check out Serverwatch

ServerWatch is time consumming to setup
my opinion CI is faster to setup
SW you need either
ssh
ftp
direct file access to it
and if you only have ftp - its not really worth it
due to it laggin when you have it do something / plus all the timeouts and error messages you will get from it.
and you have to add some stuff to the cfg to get it working properly
ci is practally startup and go (may have to update mam too)
i said practally so don't quote me on it
no im not bashing serverwatch it is a good program
i like it but its a royal pain

the program i am talking about and trying to get i believe runs off MaM files, but it's an in game menu so you don't have to keep going to window mode to use it like you do CI.

Have you tried All Seeing Eye on your second PC. I have used the issue rcon command option and it works nicely. Have not tried it with CI per se, but since you use rcon to send ci commands (I think) it seems reasonable to assume it would work. Find your server in ASE and right click it to select rcon command. It will open a text box where you can just type in your command as though it were the console. You will get results back in the same text box. Put your server in a favorites folder and you will be able to connect very quickly.

The ServerWatch I mentioned is a different program (just has the same name)---go to the website and check it out. Its similar to ASE or GSpy, runs separately, outside of the game. It gives a console for each server you setup to watch, if you have rcon, you will then be able to run commands.
Check it out:
