As I announced a couple of weeks ago, Gasplat and I, will be at EALA this Thursday and Friday, Aug 19/20th.
We will be attending EA's MOHPA community day in sunny California, meeting with, developers, product managers and other EA staff members working on MOHPA. We will also be play testing the latest build of MOHPA (just let them try and get us out of the building once we start playing.
MOHadmin is not the only site in attendance TMT (http://www.modtheater.com/), PMOH (http://www.planetmedalofhonor.com/), After Hours (http://www.after-hourz.com/), Holyclan (http://www.holylandclan.com/) and several others sites from around the word will be in attendance. So not only do we get to "play" at EA studios but we get to meet some of the greatest community members MOH has to offer. I don't expect to sleep Thursday night :D
Keep checking this page (http://www.mohadmin.com/kb/index.php?page=index_v2&id=23&c=root) for daily updates (if I can get a decent connection from the hotel or the EA studio). If not expect one big update Saturday morning right after my redeye gets in from the opposite coast.

as a follow up, we might be getting some interview time with some of the developers and product managers.
Please submit any questions you would like me to ask. I don't know if we will have time for all questions but I will try my best!

From the front page!
After an hour and a half delay in our home state, Gen Moses from HolyLandClan.com and I arrived in LA. We where greeted by Collin Billings of EA and whisked to our hotel to meet up with other MOHTeam members before heading off to the EA studios around.
Last night we where singing the NDAs, eating dinner, meeting the MOH:PA devs as well as the TKO crew and getting to play test the latest build of MOH:PA single player.
I am not allowed to talk much about the play test but I can say one thing, WOW. What an intense action packed level. I think most of the MOHTeam was in a state of shock and awe. We where all very impressed with what we had just played.
I can also say I got killed more times they I would have liked but for a good reason. I was trying to take in the environment, physics as well as the level itself, OK I also did not want to waste precious time trying to reconfigure the keyboard layout to my liking.
I can say, game play was very smooth, it looked AWESOME and you will get the feeling of being on the front line of an attack not alone but with your team mates by your side. We will be play testing MP today.
As it was getting late, we needed to call it a night. We departed EA's studio here in LA very late but what we all noticed was there was still a lot of employees working on MOH:PA and other EA titles. Some of the programmers, we are told are working 7 days a week to get this game out the door as fast as they can and the level we played showed the attention to detail an their hard work.
The biggest thing I can say that impressed me the most, other then the game itself was the truly dedicated team MOH:PA has working on this project. At this time we have only met with producers and the TKO team working on MOH:PA. From what I have seen and heard tonight, I truly believe EA has a drive and determination to make MOH:PA a much better supported game as well as a great game in itself, then ever before. This game is gong to ROCK!
It's a nice feeling when the the producers tells you they are making this game for the community and their customers. That in itself is a refreshing and welcomed statement from a developer and producer!
Today is interviews, studio tours and the much anticipated MP play test (just let them try and get us out of that room :) )
We will also be getting MOH:PA asset disc and will be posting all that info as soon as I get back or if I have time from the airport tonight before my red eye home.
Complete coverage will be posted here (http://www.mohadmin.com/kb/index.php?page=index_v2&id=23&c=root)

Nice Rude! Can't wait to see if you guys have any pics or anything for us when you get back. Did you get to find out the specs of the machine you tested the build on?

sounds great :D please ask about linux!! :D  :) :p
Definitely would like to know the specs on the test PC. I would also be interested in the multiplayer play when you see it and specs to run a decent server. Will a dedicated server be available or must the game be installed? Is there any clipping of walls or exploiting glitch spots or should I say how easily found are they.
Thanks for the feedback on what you've seen so far. I'll be posting a link to your report where I can for others to see.

Just got back, and yeah, this thing is looking awesome. A couple quick questions before I try to get shuteye and return (sigh) to reality.
Linux - yes for server and hopefully not too long after initial release. Its DirectX 9 but no OpenGL so I doubt there will be a Linux client, but server side is what most folks want for Linux.
Free dedicated server download will be available - that should make it pretty easy to get rolling. Speaking of which, the in game server set up menu is freaking awesome. Plus you should be able to then save the config it generates and upload it to a server - so Linux and those without Windows desktop access can still use the tool to do their configs.
Server has to handle a lot more than before - in large part oweing to the greater number of objects requried for the great graphics and environment. For example, those rock solid immovable barrels in AA's V2 map that folks use for cover near the rocket could be moved around and knocked over in MOHPA. (Consider this - Doom3 is limited to 4 players max in multiplayer - Id may as well have left it out completely). Fortunately EA and TKO are putting in a lot of work to improve server performance. We played on a 12 player non-dedicated server that was pretty sweet. Anticipate Spearhead like requirements for the server. Of course they may work that down some, but in planning ahead, that is the benchmark I am using.
If they can deliver everything they are showing and talking about in the final - admining this game will be as sweet as playing it :D .
More to come soon.
I am yust courious about the gameplay of MOHPA.
like:
is the nade trowing as in MOHBT + MOHSP or as in MOHAA (like beep beep beeep BANG, when holding) and do you have a far trow and a near throw (mouse buttons)
is the lean as in MOHAA or as COD (what it seemed like, when i thought i could see someone lean in a movie of PA)
and so on?.... whell i think for the most things i have to wait till demo :(

Nade throwing is not like CoD, your throw is very short
don't remember leaning at all, then again we all where trying to get the commands set
I personally think game play is like MOHAA but with all the eye candy and some cool features added.
remember things will change before the ship date thus take this with a grain of salt.

You could (and should :) ) lean like around objects, but the lean and run thing was not available, at least using the settings they had on the server we played. There was some talk of being able to turn that on, but not sure if that will be an option or not.

Quote from this weeks MOH Army Email........
Q: Will it be possible to lean in Medal of Honor Pacific Assault by standard, or do you need to set it up like in Spearhead, or have you just removed the leaning?
Leaning is a standard control in MOHPA, allowing players to utilize the various terrain objects and environment elements for cover. Because the game is calibrated to reflect realistic experiences, shooting from the lean will result in a drop in accuracy of any weapon.
