How do you stop Landsharking in Spearhead?

:( I am running CI and rent a server. We have seen a few cases of landsharking on the server so i asked IW why the mapfix was not working and they stated that the only maps it stops landsharking on are the MOHAA stock maps.
Does anyone know how i can stop landsharking without having to mod all the speahead maps? Perhaps a server sided mod?

All the server sided mods I have seen were mods for the various maps. I would look for newer versions of the problematic maps or complain to the map authors (preferably with an explanation of where you think the hole is - since most are the result of a hole in the map that somebody found - try specing the land sharkers to see how they are doing it).

Also some map makers (KingMarzo in particular) have some up with a clever trick, building map high above the base of the map, so the landsharker will fall to him death rather then get any advantage. This would be a good trick for any mapo makers to keep in mind :)

Well i see 3 posts about sharking amoung the top subjects here and to be honest i´m starting to get pissed @ this game even though i love to play it myself but i also host several servers and have done that since the day SH was released, the game makes me sick because the cheats never ends and there is plenty of apps (cheatscanners) to use who all uses shitloads of cpu and doesent prevent cheaters anyway except the most common ones.

Its irritating not to be able to stop cheats like sharking ffs!! you wrote that only the stockmaps where protected but i dont agree... take Malta, here you can shark your head of and no cheatprotection even notice anything.

I dont mean to sound all negative here but i´m really getting pissed off by this and i wrote a much longer mail to EA about this yesterday, but as allways for them its a moneymachine, there is no better proof of that then Breakthroug.

Hmmm i know what you mean. Cheating does appear to be a BIG problem with this game, but i am not going to let that deter me. I love playing Spearhead and run Spearhead stock maps mixed with Allied Assault maps. The map fix only fixes Allied Assault maps apparently :(
I have asked for instructions on how to fix the maps, but as yet have had no reply from Invisible Warriors.

I have only been running a server for a short time and i find it very hard to get any good advise regarding anti cheat programs. I Chose CI because that seemed to be the best, but i do understand that Cheats will get passed just about any program you create to block them.. how would EA Games do it? Wouldn't the cheats beat the program regardless of who makes it?

Any how...I will keep searching for answers..if anyone else has any info then please drop me a note or post a reply. I thought that with all the Spearhead servers out there someone may know the answer...all help is greatly appreciated :)
