how to talk as console?¿?

i got a dedicated server up but it wont let me talk thur console i put say text and it says Unknown command "say" how can i fix it

are you typing this command from inside of the game or from your desktop in the pop-up window ???

if it's from the in-game console, you must type "rcon say [text]"

and if that doesn't work, try "rcon [password] say [text]"... but the first one should work

if it's from your desktop in the pop-up window, it should work using the command alone: say [text]

btw, if you do not have an rcon password, you should... to do this, simply enter the following line of text in your server.cfg file which can be found in the MOHAA\maintt directory: "set rconpassword [your password]"

this allows you (the Administrator) to properly access the remote console from inside of the game using the same or any other computer

ya i have a rconpassword set and i tryed the rcon say text in the game and it didnt work and i allso tryed say text it in the window and it didnt work this is what is says Unknown command "say" i dont know why not i have helped admin others peoples server and had no prob but this is the first time i had my own and i just can get it to work

the only thing i can tell you is to have "+set ui_console 1" in the target box for your server's shortcut... this enables the console

ok, then you might wanna try manually deleting the entire Breakthrough directory (MOHAA/maintt) and re-installing the game from scratch... just be sure to save your server.cfg file somewhere and put it back in the proper directory after re-installing ;-)

if it's the demo, simply uninstall it from your desktop's control panel using the Add/Remove utility and then re-install it from scratch... good luck
