To all who can possibly help,
This is my first post (as if you didn't already notice). I am seeming to have a problem connecting to my dedicated server! First of all, I have "sacrificed a P3 550 mHz computer with 256 mB RAM for a dedicated server. I am also sitting behind a Netgear MR814 802.11b wireless router. All ports that need to be forwarded have been (through the use of the Port Forwarding Guide).
Alright, now here's the actual problem. When I get on the computer that I will use as a client, I can see the Server in BOTH Gamespy and the In-Game Server Browser. I also know that this server is up and running correctly because I have had a fellow clan member connect. Anyway, when I try to connect to my server, I recieve a "server connection timed out" dialog in MoH:AA.
I have read that some people have problems connecting to their servers with wireless because the external IP addresses are the same, whereas the only difference is in the Internal IP address. I do have a feeling that this is my problem. Is there a way that I can get around this problem, or am i just stuck with not being able to connect to my server?
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
TheBluMarshmelo
