By default COD sets the downloads to
seta cl_allowDownload "0"

Is there anyway to force this to be enabled when the new patch comes out? So many people aren't that smart to know they need it to be turned on in order to join alot of the servers on the net. Also looking forward to the new patch to help solve the issues of diffrent size in the same name of pk3 files.

I don't think there is. It would cause all kinds of havoc on pure servers.

yea if everyone who made a mod knew how to do it correctly and not mess up the pk3 needed to run CoD on other pure servers, wede be in good shape. but there are always a few who just dont do it right. hopefully this can be resolved in some way to allow mini mods alot easier
