Hi All,

New to this site, I have a quick question about setting up a game server. I have a Digital AS4000, it has dual 400mhz 64bit alpha processors, 4mb cache and 512mb of ram running windows 2000 alpha version.

Have you heard of anyone setting up a mohaa server with one of these machines? I can install pc winodws software through what is called fx32. This computer only has a 1mb video card, so it couldn't run the game normally. Is it possiible to just run it in some kind of console mode?

I am completely clueless when it comes to setting up a game server, and any help would be appropriate.

Thanks,
Bob

I am unfamiliar with alpha architecture, but if you have a Win/i86 emulator you could try it. You will have to run dedicated server using the server executables - they have a graphical "console" but its just a windows text box. I recommend reading the guidelines for more info on the server, but to just get it up and running for a test, copy over the MOH file and use one of the bat files to kick off the server exe that come with the game to test its ability to run at all. lib.bat should do the trick.

The files come with the game.

The FAQ (or its nearest equivalent) are the guides on this site. CLick on the Guides link (on the left).
