can anyone tell me, from this information, why im getting so many errors " could not open binary fileXXX"
and how to fix this?

Almost all of them have to do with teh way some of the models were done. They are not worth your time and trouble trying to mess with them. Just ignore them - their main impact is the size of your log file.

one more question. is there a place i can look to get the minimum hardware requirments for mohaa/sh/bt servers in a "per player" type breakdown...?

I have not seen such a breakdown.
Main issues for this game series is CPU and bandwidth. SH is particularly demanding of CPU cycles, so a faster CPU is recommended for a larger server. Not aware of any rules per se though.

dual PIII850's w/512Mbram unlimited BW ( aka 5 T1's )

how many player you think? on a SH server?

I'd shoot for 20 slots and be prepared to drop a couple. I had faster CPUs but they were running hyperthreaded so they were not giving it their all (heh). Unless you want to run three or four servers, be sure hyperthreading is off (your CPUs may not support it, but my PIII Xeons did).

That brings up the other point - the game engine will only use one of your CPUs. So...... you can either run two servers and not suffer any degredation from CPU usage (each will run on its own CPU, the OS handles this balancing without your intervention) or you can run one server and CI or some other tool on the same box with minimal impact on the game server.

Experimentation is good. :)

yes. i noticed AA didnt use both CPUs...
but, I wouldnt run another AA server on mine.. unless i could double or triple the ram.. then perhaps...
but, thanx so much for all the input

I have a server (personal) running ( non-honor..) at 66.103.142.34 if ya want to check it out...
and also im leasing servers if anyone is interested.
a leased one is at 66.103.142.42 if ya want to check that out too..
these are not the same machine BTW. ;)
