I run a DEMO Spearhead server from time to time and have a few questions. I tried using the search button here but I couldnt find anything specific to my questions:

1. Occasionally I get a guy joining the game who claims to be a Spearhead "Developer". He does something to restart the game. The first time he did it I thought it was funny, but now he just keeps doing it over and over until I just have to quit all together. It makes it to where I dont even want to play the game anymore. Can I permenently ban this guy or just prevent this from being done? What is he doing to restart me? I have his IP. Also I run the game on an Mac OS X server.

2. Is there a way to make certain weapons unavailable (i.e. bazookas) or disable weapon drop so other players cant pick up dropped weapons? Keep in mind this is the DEMO version of SH. I've attempted to use several .pk3 MODs but the game wont launch if anything has been modifed.

Any help would be MUCH appreciated. 8)

Thanks all!

ok,
im no expert in the demo but it should be pretty much the same as the game.

1. Have you set a rconpassword in the console.
2. if you have not set a rconpassword tpye this in the console :
set rconpassword "yourpassword" then this 'guy' will not restart your server or anything.
3. If its your computer he's restarting i have no idea how to block him i hope this helps!

Yes, I was told something about the rcon settings by another player, just wasn't sure it could be done with the demo. I'll give that a shot and see what happens. BTW - he's only restarting the game in progress, not my computer.

Thanks for the help!!! :)

The map restart is a known bug in the game, and the downloads section has a patch for it and the spawn glitch (another way little smaktards can mess with your server). Now the bad news - I have no idea if it works on the demo. But hey, give it a try. :)

Well guys I gave thr rcon thing a try and it didnt work. Also there is no patch for the Mac version, all I found were .exe's that dont run on a Mac. I have the latest version though. Looks like my only option is to use a util like NetBarrier to block certain incoming IP's, if thats even possible.
