Can a friend connect to your server from the outside (by connecting diretly to the IP?) Sometimes it just seems to take a while before it appears also. When you launch the game, when you look in the console do you see where it is resolving the name server and sending heartbeats? It should also show occassional requests for status messages (name servers polling to get updates from your server).

yea, people can connect directly through IP. Autokick is seeing the server as well. I guess I don't exactly know where to look for the heartbeats, name server pinging, etc...I looked in console in game, but didn't see it..

this server is not hosted by me..it is hosted in a DataCenter in NY state. I have rcon access to it.

Try adding this to your cfg:

set sv_master1 "master0.gamespy.com"

If that doesnt help you might want to check with your host and make sure that they are forwarding the proper ports for GSpy.

thanks snype, I tried that but no go...and there are other servers with same subnet as mine that are showing up...

another thing, my host says they have us on the DMZ so do the ports still need to be forwarded and why can an IP that is 65.39.205.75 be seen, but not one that is 65.39.205.79, they are both in the same subnet...could it still be something in my hosting company?

I am grasping for straws here, but try changing

set Ui_dedicated 1

to

set ui_dedicated 1

Should it matter? No. Does it? Can't hurt to try. I really can't see why its not listing.

I would say yes, I host a server on a commercial DMZ and I have to forward all of the ususal ports. I would have to assume that since the cfg is right that they have not forwarded the proper ports so that GSpy can see it. They could also have something wrong with the network or server that would allow one game to be seen and not the other. I would have to see the specific setup to tell.
Here are the ports that need to be forwarded:

MOH
Allow TCP Port 12203-12218
Allow UDP Port: 12300
Allow UDP Port: 12203-12218

GSpy
27900 (Master Server UDP Heartbeat) UDP
28900 (Master Server List Request) TCP
29900 (GP Connection Manager) TCP
29901 (GP Search Manager) TCP
13139 (Custom UDP Pings) UDP
6515 (Dplay UDP) UDP
6500 (Query Port) TCP
6667 (IRC)
3783 (Voice Chat Port)

I will forward those ports to to my server host...thanks guys, we shall see what happens
