View Full Version : Please insert correct CD-ROM???

Okay, bought Breakthrough... installed fine.

When it goes to LOAD Breakthrough, it tells me to Insert the correct CD-ROM...

Anyone else getting this?

Okay you prick, I am not some 13 year old pimple-faced punk. I said I bought it. And I did. So STFU.

However, I did figure out what was causing the problem, for anyone else who may be experiencing this. I had to remove a virtual CD-Rom drive (and NO it was not holding an image of the Breakthrough CD). For some reason, that fixed it.

I SAID I fixed it already and I even gave the answer to HOW I fixed it already...

You see the problem is after reading your opening sentence I couldn't be fooked to read the rest of your useless post as I lost all interest as most others probably have.

Now, can a moderator please lock or delete this thread as I have no interest in engaging in a flame war with some leech and would rather waste my time and bandwidth helping users on here that are worthy and appreciative :?

Look... this is simple.

I had a problem.. a legitimate problem. I came here because usually you can find some sort of sensible and experienced help here.

I did not, however, appreciate the insinuation that my copy of Breakthrough was not a legitimate copy, especially after I SPECIFICLY stated that I bought the game. Maybe its a UK tradition to NOT read before you post a smart-ass reply, or maybe its just a pre-pubescent issue. Don't know, don't care.

Either way, I would suggest this get locked up. The problem has been solved and the solution to the problem is here for others who may experience it.

Hey guys...this forum is set up for Admins/modders. If you want to be uncool with one another why not try alliedassault.com. Honestly we are here to work together, not flame one another. dang i wish there was an answer to this qeustion because im having the problem only to certain servers not all of them mainly servers that just got breakthrough installed. plus it did that on my spearhead cd too on the same server. any help?

A buddy of my got the same prob and he fixed it like you said. But I also had the virtual drives and the game works fine for me. Didnt have to remove it. wierdness.
