As I know some of you are, I am also interested in being able to quickly review demos of in-game play and having the ability to convert them to other types of files (preferrably as small as possible).
Ultimately, I want to be able to skip to certain spots of a demo without having to watch the entire thing through by playing the .dm_1 file through CoD. Using Fraps (www.fraps.com), I was able to record an 8.5 minute round from one of my demos and save it as .avi. Unfortunately, even a demo this short turned out to be 4GB large at 30fps!! :o Does anyone know any good programs I could use from there to compress the .avi any further?
I know there is also a way to continuously take screenshots while watching the demo, then use a program to compile them into a movie. Does anyone have info on how to efficiently accomplish this? Good programs to do so?
