WHEN I OPEN PORTS ON THE ROUTER FOR THE SERVER MACHINE, IT SEEMS TO CLOSE THE PORTS ON MY OTHER MACHINES SO THAT I CANNOT CONNECT TO THE EXTERNAL GAMES. I CAN ONLY CONNECT TO MY INTERNAL SERVER IE 192.168.0...ETC..AS OPPOSED TO THE SERVER LIST IN THE GAME IE 24.268.12.35:12201 ETC..... ANY IDEAS. I AM ONLY ABLE TO PLAY ON MY SERVER...SUCKS..

:( ;) :?: :?: :?: :?:

How did you open the port on the router? Did you setup a static route or did you do a port forward? If you setup a static route then it's going to route all requests for that port to a single endpoint. The correct method would be to use port forwarding so that any INBOUND signals received by the router will be forwarded to the internal IP of your server.

Has this worked for you in the past and did you change routers recently?
Some routers have problems with certain applications when using NAT.
All packets for the application will go to only 1 machine.
Try what Komoman says and if not, it may be your router.
