Discuss the Q&A's with TKO software here

Dissapointed - they have done nothing to prevent cheaters and I fully expect all the current cheats to be transferable to BT ... why they decided to concentrate on the single player game when the MOH series has become such a mp success I don't know. A golden opportunity missed.

Well I'm not surprised at some of the answers given to the Q&A....for example the lack of Vehicles in the MP. Personally I don't play MOH for a vehicle experience....thats what BF42 is for. The fact EA didn't install an "anti-cheat" program really didn't shock me either. The excuse as to why they didn't add any type of scanner floored me though....Hello? MOH is based on the SP experience? You have got to be kidding me...what world does this guy live in? Yes I am offended by that statement, and yes every single admin who is registered in this forum should be too. What have we all been doing with our time? Obviousely we have wasted it away "fooling" with this whole MP bizz.....The real core players are the SP players who never come online.....wow I've really been missing out burning my time playing in servers with other people...what I really should be doing is playing the SP of AA and SH over and over again. What were we all thinking when we started downloading the multitudes of MP maps? We should all be focusing on playing SP maps....and the proof is in the pudding right? I mean look at the overwhelming number of SP maps to the MP's......not to mention all the skins made for SP only....

Yes I'm ranting....I can't help myself....Look at what they are saying in these answers....You don't matter, I don't matter, the MP community doesn't matter....and why? Because they know we the admins and modders will do all the work to fix the problems. Why should they spend a single penny to support a game they know all of us will buy....hell I know I'll probably end up buying it....exactly when? Well to keep up with the curve I'll be one of the fools that gets it right away...Its not because EA produces a quality product, its because I know the community has been "dug in" for quite some time now. The community is what will keep this game alive....especially with all the fixes they devise, and the security scanners. Bottom line, EA is all about the money, the answers to the Q&A are a prime ecample of it.

I can only hope and pray Call of Duty comes out soon enough. CoD is being created by the guys who got us turned onto the MOH series, the origional AA dev team. I know there will be those of you who don't agree with what I carried on about...but the message we are getting is, "don't expect any major fixes." We'll just get the same old EA "quality" product.....cough cough....(which adds up to a load of horse puckeys.)

Ok I'm done for now. I'll be logging on later to play more of the game I love and hate at the same time. I just hope EA wakes up sooner or later and realises what a great thing they had and how they threw it all away with blissfull ignorance. 8O

I had a good feeling that breakthrough was going to be the game that made people forget spearhead. (dont get me wrong I enjoy spearhead but it just wasnt the same). After reading the Q&A i have this pit in my stomach that makes me believe that mohaa is coming to and end for me anyway. I will download the demo buy the final product and pray that Im wrong. Not one answer gave me any hope what so ever.

No linux support out of the box on the 3rd title == where have u been EA

Netcode = we changed some video settings = bah wtf is that

server resources = same as spearhead = o great

did anything get fixed? I dont blame TKO, knowing EA they probably were not that helpful

the minimum level of quality in order for our expansion to be considered “MOH Quality”.

will it sell = MOH Quality

My rant for now. Im tired will read this again just in case im not seeing the whole picture.

Thats it for me I am done with there lazy asses..sorry but I am sick and tired of it.

They don't want to support the online community they can kiss my @ss.

Same old crap with NO changes...I hate SOFII but they got it made compared to us and that still pisses me off.

Looks like trial & error modding again with the same old crap and interface...damn that sucks...can't even get a little MOTD or custom
messages without hacking the shit out of the script files.

I can go on and on like the reset but not going to.

EA you can forget me buying SPEARHEAD again...forget IT.

Hope you lose ALOT of money on this one and the next so called expansion packs until you can get it strait and start Listening
to the Admins and people that are keeping your game alive.

Yea SD, I think we have heard this line from them before but we were hoping it wasnt true. They originally intended MOH to only be SP and threw in some MP code as an afterthought. Unfortunately they found out later that MP is what drives the market in todays world. Now they are stuck with a game engine that has flawed code that would cost too much to fix so they decide to squeeze every penny out of this ride by continuing to produce Expansions.
I too am awaiting the release of Call of Duty, sounds like their game engine will have some improvements. I just hope its not another doctored rehash of the MOH game.

I'm really looking forward to CoD a lot more after reading that interview. :( Let's hope Activision and Infinity Ward have a better handle on the community then EA does! :?

I'm sorry for the heated post, I am normally a bit more reserved....but I just couldn't believe what I was reading. I am sure the new Dev team is not to blame, they are contracted out and just want to make a living like the rest of us.

As for CoD I did get a personal report from someone I know who did have a chance to play some levels at E3....it will take some getting used to with the new physics but over all he enjoyed it alot. Our concerns about having any type of security for CoD should be qwelled somewhat by the fact that Activision is a part of the RTCW series...which has Punkbuster. It could be a fatal mistake for Activision to not include PB with CoD. Having the origional Dev team create a new series for us to enjoy I hope brings many a grand night of multiplayer fire fights...and some quality mods...we can never forget the mods.. :D

My other wish is, if CoD is worth its weight in gold, spawns new support sites such as mohadmin.com.....ok well specifically mohadmin.com. It appears we will all be starting with a fresh slate and will need one another to face the problems which come with any new game.

I think we all really knew that they wouldn't fix the problems that were in the original MOHAA and we know from MOHSH that they will probably create new ones. But, we can all hope

COD looks to be an awsome game, I just hope they spent more time with the MP aspect than they did the SP.

BTW...COD demo comes out the 31st. Look for the FCS demo server that day!

I admined Elite Force before playing MOHAA, and am slowly doing more with EF2 now that it is out. Activision did both, but Activision is IMHO a huge zero on support. It took weeks for people to even figure out how to get a dedicated EF2 server running. They only funded four ctf maps, and some of the released maps looked like stuff developers had done on their own for grins and were stuck in to pump the total map count. Ritual is providing some support to the community and released a GDK, which is why EF2 still (barely) breathes. And the GDK was from the developer, Activision's role was to not put a legal block to its release. I would not put much stock in Activision providing a lot of support. Maybe the developer will.

I totally agree with Sitting Duck and all others here. This is such a major disappointment. Looks like I'm still going to have to put hours into chasing cheaters, trying to fight lag, download third-party fixes, etc. Or leave MOH. :(

SV_PURE ? Bah ! Arf ! Duh ! :x

What good has that ever done to anybody ? They screwed that one up themselves when they released the different localization versions of MOH AA/SH.

It's completely unbelieveable that EA keeps ignoring the big (but shrinking) MOH community.

I'm going to test CoD the very day the demo releases. Hopefully the CoD team sees the real world out there.

The CoD demo's been brought forward for release today thanks to other well-known gamer sites saying they wouldn't host the demo if Fileplanet got it's exclusive.

I'm of the belief that until players start boycotting EA and show them what a bunch of ar****les they are they aren't going to change a bit. Their marketing department lives in a padded room on Jupiter from the looks of things.

I certainly don't blame TKO software for the problems. It seems to me that they are doing what they could in the "insane develeopment cycle" they were given.

This aside, i shall certainly not be purchasing Breakthrough. It's a matter of principle, and i care too much about MoHAA to watch endless releases that do not address issues i am interested in and then reach the point where i can't stand putting up with the problems any longer. I'll probably borrow the game off someone and play it, but i'm sticking to my EA boycott. F**k 'em.

I've been told "something big" is going to be happening in regards to MOH:BT. I am speculating EA was going to release the Breakthrough demo today beating COD. COD got word or a vide and is bumping up their release date for their demo. This is just my gut feeling.

Well by Monday we should see what happened and if COD lives up to all the hype and will Breakthrough be more then we expect now.

Things are starting to get interesting now MOH:BT and COD will be released soon.

Yeah, kiss off any remaining test and fix time as the marketing wonks jam through the need to be "first to market" so little johnny can plunk his money down for their product before the other team's stuff hits the shelves. happy happy, joy joy :x

Well...........upon returning from a great 4 day camping trip at Lake Folsom I have been greeted by a very impressive demo. At this point I have no complaints, minus some of the weapon sounds for the allies. I felt the demo ran smooth and there was quite a bit of action going on to get a great feel for CoD.

I will reserve any further comments on the CoD demo until I finish it. I just gave it a shot and felt like catching up on the news around the web. I can easily say I will NOT be buying BT any time soon. For CoD, I'll be pre-ordering it. :D

I will buy BT (all rants aside) because I still love the game. But whether in the long run I stick with CoD (and expansions) or if the MOH franchise (including Paciifc variant) has legs will depend on the quality of BT, not the release date. If they do a quick sell to grab market dollars, I hope they are smart enough to follow through with timely patches.

With all due respect to MOH franchise I will download the full version when it comes out from my newsgroup for FREE.
I am not paying for anything they release until they get things strait on the multi player side. If you buy there product you are telling them what they already know and that is the MOH community will buy anything they
put out. If the word gets out to stop buying there crappy expansion packs they might just start listening to the online community that's keeping there game alive.

Just my 2 cents
