I admit,iīm a total n00b as far as admining goes...
Iīd like to have a small message in the team selection screen where i could tell the players about having the realism mod on and things like that. I have seen it done in other servers but i canīt figure out how to do it myself.
Any help would be appriciated.

place the following command in your server config file
set scr_motd "place your message here"

Thx! I worked like a charm. :!:
:!: Now i just have to figure out why nobody seems to want to join the server. Itīs been up for days now but activity in there is really low.

It's probably due to its position on the server list. The servers that get the heaviest play are toward the top.

I would think that people would connect by ping and # of players not alphabetical order...maybe im wrong

That's the way I do it. List by ping and find the busiest server of the gamestyle I want to play.

Not sure thatīs it tho...my server is usually one of the better pinging servers in europe :) Activity has started to pick up a little now so lets hope it was just something temporary.

you continue typing. I had a 8 sentance message on our MOTD line. It word-wraped in notepad, but it worked.
I know there is a way to put a line break into it, but cant remember the code for that one.
Anyone?

If you are looking for something like "playername, welcome to our server. Respect our rules and have a good time"
Serverwatch is your answer.
