Hi all,
Could anyone tell me if there is a patch which stops people coming on and crashing the server, and if so could you tell me where to get it.

We are having to lock ours and we would like to play along with the public,but this idiot wont give us peace (Sirius_Bull_Neck?)

Yes ... there is. But check out the IMPORTANT!! BAN THESE IP IMMEDIATELY thread and ask Privatly. The answer will not be posted publicly. But the least you can do is be interested in the solution to your problem. (Referance to CFH and being disinterested when NM went out of his way to try to help him :rolleyes: ).

Yes. I love it when people crash our server.. I dont want to stop them at all. that would take all the fun out of it..


Seriously.. I go a day without reading the thread where some one says that they can help me and all of a sudden it's like I dont want to do anything about it... Sorry for not responding 3 seconds after someone posts a reply.


In fact, I have emailed NM156 and am waiting for a reply.. This was an hour or so ago.. Maybe he has disinterest in helping solve the problem... Or maybe he hasnt gotten around to READING IT YET..

I sit here next to NM And he's either answered you OR is still in the process of it smartguy. He takes a few moments to THINK things through carefully BEFORE opening up his mouth. He's the kind of guy that want's to make sure what he say's is correct and HELPFUL. He's also tempermental, and I hope he's sent you your answer before reading your reply to this thread.

No CFH, you do not need to monitor this forum every few minutes. BUT NM's offer to help you with something that could have been VERY serious is gratious on his part. And it was HIS offer to help you, not your request for his assistance. You not responding to him in the threads have nothing to do with you not being interested in what he had to say when he took the time to look you up and talk to you. Fact is NM would not have posted a solution for you here in the forums. It would have been done ... as it was ... Privetly ... Same advice I gave the fine fella in this thread. I'm done ...

I thought this was a help Forum,not a place to argue,take the help offered and say thank you,give the help and say you're welcome,shake cyber hands and get on with life.

Gonzo,download the Unofficial patch at the below link,name the cgames86.dll on your server cgames86.dll.bak,then put the downloaded cgames86.dll on your server and restart it.hope this helps.
