I'm not new to hosting game but I did get a new Router a few months ago. I have a D-Link DI 704P and have been unable to enable the ports so that the game can be seen on Game Spy..I can add it to all seeing eye but on my friend machine they don't see it although when I give them my IP they have no problem getting in...I have been on the phone at least 15 times with D-Link Tech support up to 3rd level and nothing will work..They say thety don't know enough about the game to make it work..In the virtual server set up I have added all the ports in DogMeats port guide and I have enabled the DMZ option with no luck either....any help would be appreciated
Thanks

OK I take that Back....................My friends didn't have a problem getting in be for D-Link suggested upgrading my firmware...............Nobody can get in any more...
Come on guys some one must have had a D-Link Router????
and made it work.
I wanted to try using the application settings in the router but I'm not sure what to put in the trigger box..It will not let me put a range in, just one port number then next to it the incoming ports..and you would think DMZ would at least do something..I really would like some help Please
Thank You

I dont use a dlink but I would continue to try and use the Virtual server settings.
One thing you need to do (and this could be part of your new problem) is set a static Ip on your game server machine.

Thanks for replying..,
I do have all my machines set to a static IP, and I have tried adding
( +set net_ip ) with my wan IP and My machine IP..Ive tried almost every thing I can think of..
I read some where that you are supposed to make your machine under 100 but that didn't help either
Thanks

Do NOT use the "set net_ip" command. Your router is handing the IP disbursements.
Post your server cfg so we can look at it (be sure to remove your passwords).

I sort of got the router to unblock the ports, What I did was just add the whole fricking range of ports I could..
(21-34364) on line one And
(34365-50500) on line 2, I also had to enable DMZ.. It should open those ports just by enableing DMZ.. but it dosn't
what I mean by sort of is that the game can be seen in the moh browser but not in game spy or all seeing eye.. here are my settings. This list is modified from when I was renting a spearhead server so there might be a spearhed command or 2 in it...

My server IP is 66.68.139.64

In most lan setups a person inside the lan will not be able to see their own server on GSpy. You will need someone outside of your lan to determine whether it is showing on GSy/ASE or not.
Be sure to add this line to the cfg:
set ui_dedicated 1

Well I have asked the guy's in my clan and they can not see it!!..I also have asked the people who have connected that I don't know and they all said they used the in game browser..That would be fine but most people use game spy orAll seeing Eye
