some really "basic" questions about SW

i'm new to this anti-cheat and admin tool.

i heard this is a client side anticheat. does that mean ppl have to install something to enter my server? i've got SW up and running on my server but ppl don't need nothing to enter my server. then how does this client-side idea work?

without any client-side stuff installed, i entered my mohaa server being monitored by SW and used a few cheats to test it out and find SW failed to identify them.

i've no idea how things work for SW. i'm sure i'm not getting it right. could anyone be kind enough to answer these really basic, even sound stupid questions?

you are right Serverwatch AntiCheat consist of a server part and a Client part. But the releases of ServerWatch you can download at the moment (0.8.9b) are without the AntiCheat part in ServerWatch - maybe that is the solution.

I have some beta testers who are testing that AntiCheat enabled version at the moment. The problem is like you post let imagine it.

If a AntiCheat software detects a cheat then you think ok the other guy is cheating if not you think he looks clean and that is something that should not have to many false alarms dont you think? Therefore we are testing (some clans) im "just" programming ;-) and see how you have to configurate it and stuff like that.

If you want test it in some situations you should visit one of the test servers. But dont expect them to detect everything you might the - also you should _first" speak with them otherwise you might get banned from the server automatically - and maybe forever.

I can make some new ScreenShots how the AntiCheat part of the ServerWatch setup will look like maybe that helps to understand why we have to test it

clear enough. looking forward to the release of the anti-cheat version. keep up the great work. but i don't think i'm gonna go testing it out. it's impossible for me to run the game properly in the test servers while i'm here in the far east. kaka
