Well I was in your server for the first time today and must say it was real fun. Until the game hung in between map rotation. After about two mins I said screw this and left the server. I tried to connect to another server but it said invalid CD KEY. So I said OK this happens every once in a while. Then I try to get into about 4 other non CODAdmin servers and I get the same error message, invalid CD KEY. Well I go to check my CD Key and sure enough its gone. Have you heard of someone stealing CDkeys in game? I've heard of msn messenger hacks and stuff like that but i really think someone hacked the server and stole a number of CD Keys. The time and date was 11:08 AM on November 20th. Anyone else think theirs was stolen please respond. Check the server logs please! :( :o

Its virtually impossible to steal the CD Key. The exact process is that the key is sent by the client to the server with the connection request and is encoded within the request. The server then sends the encoded key to the activision server and receives back a valid/invalid response. If the request is invalid then the server rejects the connection. At no point is the CD Key displayed or even unencoded on the server.
You need to contact activision support and explain the problem.

Well why would the two games that require a CDkey are missing them? My point is that the problem started in this server. and im warning you to beware of this. I dont know what happened but im talking to many people about it and ill get back to you when I get some professional help. My point is exactly that the games have NOTHING in common, and that i have a firewall updated to the day, I have not received any programs through msn nor have i left my computer vulnerable to attacks. Thats why i think that the hacker went through the Call of Duty game to get into my computer and steal my CD keys.

I PROMISE YOU THAT NOTHING IS BEING DONE THROUGH OUR SERVER, YOU CAN BANK ON THAT.
Why this happened after you played on our server, I don't know

LMFAO !
I don't usually say much to people, but geeeze this has to be the dumbest thing I ever heard of.
Especially to think anyone of the fine people at CoDAdmin has any involvement in stealing CD-Keys.

Before this turns into a flamewar let me point out that he only thought a h4x0r went through the CoDA server, not that he thought someone @ CoDA had anything to do with it.
Im still puzzeled by the CD key being "gone". Someone want to point out where in the registry the CD key is stored? I can see his key being used but not "gone" like its not on his comp anymore.
The CD key issue is real and it has to do with the CoD authenticating servers and key gens methinks. Its been a problem since day one and I know several guys who had to exchange their copies of CoD for new ones because of it.
