Realism? This is a weapons balance patch. There is little in the way of realism here.

Hehe, so far your the only other too see that Click. I said same thing few days ago on codfiles, cause this cant really be a realism mod if it makes say the moisen(Spelling) as powerful as the kar98, or the kar98 aim like the moisen(just examples).

Nice mod true enough, but still not a realism mod.

Generally speaking regarding Realism, there has always been two types. The Realism that tries to bring the weapon settings as close as possible based on the weapons of WWII and then there is what is called the Balanced Realism mod which contains all the same Realism values but rather makes the weapons more equal by class. Based on what is listed, it seems this is more to the Balanced Realism obviously.

Most importantly back with Medal of Honor the CYG Realism mod was the popular Realism mod that based its weapon values on the weapons of WWII. MSPH was the popular mod that was balanced with all the same. What makes the difference between the two that is noticeably is what people used more. Viewing the amount of downloads for MPSH it was clear that it was the most popular Realism mod, not to mention that it was TWL's Realism of choice for the Spearhead ladders when it first opened.

Regardless, this is the first release of MPSH CoD Realism and all the constructive criticism is exactly whats needed to create the best mod that is enjoyable for those that choose to use it.

Granted, but too me and probably everyone else, this is'nt a realism mod, it's just a balance mod. You even satted how a realism mod goes for as close to real life as possible, well if it doesnt, then its not a realism mod, which this does'nt.

The maint point I was trying to make is that there are two types of Realism.

-Realism
-Balanced Realism

Seeing the amount of servers that used MPSH in MoH over all others, I would have to say the majority was for Balanced Realism. While I know this is CoD and not MoH, most of the community is made up of MoH players.

There is only one type of realism....its a mod that tries to make the weapons/game as realistic as possible..hence the name...... the other is a balance mod.. not balance realism.. the two are mutually exclusive..

All "balanced realism" is, is a balanced mod with someone calling it a realism mod as a "catch phrase" to get peoples attention. If the weapons are balanced...then it in no way is a realism mod.

Yea they would be mohAA users and the realism of choice is/was CKR. This mod is a balanced mod so why don't you bill it as such.

And I have to take issue with the comment that there are two types of realism. Balanced mods are not realism, they are balanced mods. They don't pretend to make the weapon stats real, they don't pretend to make the game real. They intend to make the game balanced so neither side has an advantage. Sorry, but your terms balanced and realism are contradictory.

Correct, CKR was the mod of choice for Allied Assault but CKR was not created for Spearhead or Breakthrough.

Rather than focusing on, is it Realism or not. I guess it just comes down to some opinions that will or will not accept it that way. MPSH was balanced in SH and BT as well.

The mod that became popular in SH and BT is now available for Call of Duty.

I installed the MOD in the folders as instructed, however, I do not see a difference. I was told you could cook the gernades...nothing happened however. Is there something I need to add to my dedicated.cfg file?

BTW: What the heck is a pure client?
