Update 1:
-added "broadcast message" (rcon say) for easy communicating
ingame through console-messages.
-easy install: just place the enclosed zzz-EZRcon.pk3 over the old one
located in your mohaa/main map.

Way cool Bob! Would you be willing to work something similar for MAM? I would like to have a menu of MAM commands to allow admins easy access to commonly used ones. I've been thinking of doing one myself, but seeing how you've got a pretty good handle on it, I decided to ask instead.

I havent planned on that, since i havent got it installed (altho
i looked at it and am very impressed with it!), and the reason for
that is that our clanserverhost doesnt allow for uploads like that
(besides codesecutiry) but ill keep trying and then ill look into it!
Your MAM is VERY nice stuff and it would be a nice challenge!
Open the pak0.pk3 and look at the urc files....its pretty simple actually,
besides i made this public to stimulate others to make nice admin tools
like this as well.....i hope it works :D
One can use checkboxes, sliders etc etc in menus like this (altho i
couldnt use checkboxes, since its linked to clientvars....doesnt work for
rcon commands), menu in menu, images in menus etc so one can make
just about everything this way......Your MAM options are very wide and
could definately need a tool like this yes to make used by more peeps.
Maybe another experienced MAM user can make this before i do? Its nice
to make and actually very easy, but time-consuming.......
Its fun to do though!

(with rcon panel!) as well btw with 2 major differences:
1.No client side plugin needed...all php!
2.a complete webbased rcon panel popup....also cool!

This is a great program, tested it last nite on my Spearhead server and it works great!!!
Its nice not having to leave the game, type commands into the console or move to a second computer to rcon the server.

Hi all..

I cant seem to get this going with spearhead...unbound F3 , but pressing it doesnt bring up the ezrcon ( i have added the line exec EZRcon.cfg to autoexec.cfg) but still nothing....any ideas why?
Its working great in MOHAA , not Spearhead...

probably a key-conflict.
type bindlist in console to find out.

just type pushmenu ezrcon in the console.

A silly question, before I install, bob can this be used on a remote Linux server or is it for a local game server run on my pc. Sounds silly but Id rather ask a silly question rather than make a supid mistake.

otherwise you can always type:

pushmenu ezrcon

in the console
see if there are keyconflicts...
(i have it working in spearhead on the F5 key)

i know this might be a stupid answer.... but i did this... so yea, i guess im stupid.... but same thing happened to me.. ezrcon didn't work.

the reason why was because it was in the wrong folder... instead of /mohaa/main/ it was in /mohaa/mainta/..... yea, i know stupid.. but maybe other ppl made the same mistake

I know there are a couple of small errors but the servers all run well, I can now rcon control maps etc so no probs there, I just cant exec any files.

Any thoughts anyone?

Looks to me like you are exec'ing:
default.cfg
menu.cfg
newconfig.cfg
autoexec.cfg
and on the various servers:
obj.cfg

The only ones not exec'ing are the unnamedsoldier.cfg and localized.cfg which probably aren't on the server anyway.

Don't know about the port conflicts and multiple servers. Snype might have the info on that.

No your missing my Question, the log file shows what files were exec'd when I start the server.

If I was to add a file say server2.cfg which will change my objective based match to a team match all I should have to do is enter "rconpassword XXXXX" then "exec server2.cfg", but all I get is Cant exec this file message!
I cant even exec the EZRcon.cfg even though its there in the correct location.

Also, any one know why those certain files unnamedsoldier.cfg and localized.cfg are missing since I uploaded all the nessacery files, (hell nearly the entire game folder before a peep told me I only need certain files) i.e. what is the location of those files.

If anybody out there needs rcon access to my server pm me.
Any help would be great fellaz.

Just some very basic (and oft overlooked) things to check......
Assuming the .cfg's are where they are supposed to be......
If you edited them with Notepad, hopefully it didn't add the .txt extension making xxxx.cfg.txt files. (Should be easy enough to check)
If you FTP'd the files to the server, make sure that your ftp program didn't upload the files as binary. Somehow, I had inadvertently changed a setting on my ftp program once, and it took me days to figure out the problem.

I'm no computer genius and no virtually nothing about linux, but if the .cfg files you wish to execute are in the same folder as the other cfg's that are loading...........I dunno.

Don't know about the other cfg's, but I have ezrcon's pak3 and cfg files in my mainta folder on my personal machine. I rent a remote linux server and ezrcon works fine for me. No need to load it to the remote server.

Oh & finally figured out that the word "rcon" should pre-emt any command on a remote server like "rcon exec server.cfg" makes a hell of a difference, yes it worked! another Doh! Oh well sure it will help someone down the road.

I also couldn't get it to come up with the F3 key, it brought up something else, and I had no clue how to change it...but when i go into console and type pushmenu ezrcon then the thing pops up...only problem is i can't do anything because it keeps saying "bad rcon pw" what needs to be changed?

Go into your EZRcon.cfg file using notepad or word pad & change the F3 bind to F4, make sure the password for the server is correct in both the other 2 cfg files, specificaly the rcon password, but also make sure that it is correct on the server itself, there will be a script file you used to run the server, the one that defines what type of server you are running, it will be a .cfg file & will have all the gametype, map selections, etc in it. Check what you set for rcon password.

When you have all this done open console, type "rconpassword xxxx" the x's being your password, press enter. then type rcon exec EZRcon.cfg, press enter, close console & then try your F4 key.

If all that fails PM me or use my aim which is EnigmaPrime01 & we'll get together & sort it out, I have several Teamspeak servers up, so if you like download the teamspeak client for windows from www.clanselite.com in the down loads section. You can view & join the TS servers from there we can arrange a time & I can talk you tru it. (usually Quicker when someones there talking to ya)I can also try my EZRcon on your server to see if the probs your side or if its password related.

Sounds like your rcon password. It has to match the rconpassword on the server.

Going from memory here so please forgive...

There are two .cfg files for ezrcon that contain passwords. You'll need to edit those. Or, do what I did (as I only use a few of the functions of ezrcon), clear the contents of those two files, then enter the rcon password in the button on ezrcon's screens that says passwords. BE SURE to press the "enter" key to have the passwords saved.

I was having the same trouble, but was not pressing the enter key after typing in the password.
